The diploma admissions are done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT). Assam Engineering Institute Guwahati Diploma Admission Procedure
AEI Guwahati diploma admission procedure is done on the basis of a centralised counselling process conducted by DTE Assam. Candidates have to appear for the Assam Polytechnic Admission Test. They will be selected based on the performance in the entrance test.

Complete the registration with mobile number and email id to generate login id
After obtaining login credentials login and fill out the application form
Upload photograph and signature in the designated dimension and format
Pay the application fee
Appear for the exam
Next, Candidates have to register for the centralised counselling
Choice filling by candidates
Seat allotment by the authorities
Acceptance of seat allotment by the candidate
Reporting at the institute with the required documents

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2019-01-01
Academics
I have completed my diploma degree in elecetronics and telecommunication department.The professors are very helpful and down to earth . They helped and guided me a lot during my time .Professors are highly qualified and good.
College Infra
The college contains all the basics needed for the students . The college has the central library which contains all the books needed for the students.Hostels are somewhat good and rooms are decent enough. It contains fields for both cricket and football.
Placements
The placements of the college is good only . Majority of the students went for higher studies and rest went for the placements.The process of placements are not that easy but it was an awesome experience .

Academics
I have completed my diploma degree in Mechanical engineering.The quality of teaching of the college professors was sweet and helpful in nature. Our curriculum was good and include all the developments of the field.
College Infra
The college infrastructure has been improved a lot and now it is good. The college has all the basic laboratory facilities and equipments.Hostels are good enough and are well maintained .College campus was clean and hygenic.
Placements
The scenario of placements is good and over 80 percent of the students were placed with a decent placements .The placement process was good and had a good experience of my life . The college was helpful enough throughout the process.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2020-01-01
Academics
I had completed diploma in electrical engineering n currently working in an esteemed organisation of Assam. The faculty members were friendly and help the students if any kind of doubts arises, in addition to that the curriculum were also updated accordingly. Field visit were done by respective departments in order to make students understand the theories practically.
College Infra
Firstly, i would like to mention that the college infrastructure along with all necessary equipments were there in the college and each departmental laboratories. There were hostels for both boys n girls and well maintained by the college authorities.The library was also well organised.
Placements
I completed my course in the year 2020 when the corona pandemic had started. As a result, the placement was average at that time. Various companies like L&T, Wipro, Prag electrical etc offered placements to various departments of the college. The highest salary offered was 3-4lakhs per annum. The selection process has 2-3rounds and the college authorities were cooperative in this case.
