72 MonthsPh.D Civil Engineering programme shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
Any candidate who has passed the Master's examination in the concerned subject with a score of not less than 55% (50% for SC/ST/BC/PWD Category) marks in aggregate, or have appeared in the final year examination of Master‟s degree in the subject concerned from Panjab University, Chandigarh or from any other University (approved by the appropriate Academic Bodies of P.U.).
Admission Details
For admission to this course, the candidates have to qualify PhD entrance test conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The written test shall be followed by a mandatory interview in the form of interaction to be organized by the concerned school/department/ Institute/Centres, as the case may be. At the time of the interview, the candidates are expected to discuss their research area. An interview is essential for enrolment in the PhD programme and selection would be solely based on the performance of the candidates in the Interview.
