The B.Des program extends over 4 years and is an immersive experience that integrates explorative and experiential learning to achieve a high degree of imaginative development in our students. Imaginations that will one day address aesthetic and conceptual challenges in product, interface and spatial design. In our campus’ collaborative learning environment students acquire professional design skills in tandem with teamwork and leadership.

The program is conducted and mentored by experienced teachers and professionals in various design disciplines, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University also known as Kerala Technological University.

Product designers may seek creative and highly rewarding employment opportunities in India and across the globe working with lifestyle products and accessories, consumer products, automobiles and transportation design, packaging and graphic design.
UXD professionals provide user experiences that add value through design. The ambit of experience design includes Interaction Design, User Interface (UI) Design, User Research and Information Architecture and Usability Analysis. Students could also opt to pursue careers in the design of engaging and immersive experiences utilising Extended Reality (AR, VR, MR) applications.
Spatial designers get to work on interior/exterior design projects, in exhibition design and visual merchandising. Students with the contextual aptitude could opt to work with 3D spatial simulation and visualisation as well.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) conducted by the Board of HSE Kerala or examination equivalent thereto, as approved by KTU with the minimum marks as prescribed by AICTE, are eligible to apply for the entrance examination. (At least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination) or Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. (Ref: AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2024-27, Section:8.2, IV, Page No:119).No rounding off of percentage of marks to the nearest higher integer is permitted.
