      Academics

      The quality of academics is excellent. The curriculum it follows is as per the West Bengal University of Health Sciences guidelines. Regular lectures & ward classes and exams are conducted to keep the students in practice. Students are actively encouraged to conduct STS projects & take part in national & international conferences.

      College Infra

      Being a Central Govt institution, this college has state of the art infrastructure in the medical college & hospital with a clean & roomy hostel (single room per student). Lectures theatres, Central Library, Laboratories, OPDs, Wards, OTs, Canteens are all clean and in use.

      Campus Life

      The institution is located is about 15-20 kms from the city centre. Campus life is moderately good. The place is safe with a security force on duty 24×7. The students, faculty members & support staff are homely. There is a playground for sports just next to the hostels and 2 hygienic canteens in the campus. However, an Auditorium is deficient (currently under construction)

      Placements

      The avg salary for Junior Residency in this institution after completing the MBBS course is 80lacs +. Recruitments are based on merit & walk-in interviews. 65-70% of the strength of a batch are above average and get selected in the post graduation entrance exams + JRship all over the country.

      Value For Money

      The course fee was Rs. 108000 (tuition fee) + 22500 (hostel fee). However there is a service bond of 5 years ESIC service (pan India) or 7.5 lacs.
