Admission Process 2021
Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rajahmundry offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and MBA programmes. To get an admission to B.Tech, candidates need to appear for the state level entrance examination - AP EAMCET or JEE Main. The detailed admission process of the courses are shared below:
For B.Tech:
Admission to B.Tech programmes will be offered on the basis of AP EAMCET/JEE Main/Qualifying exam.
Based on these exams, candidates need to appear for the counselling conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
During the counselling, they have to give first preference to the Godavari Institute of Engineering & Technology (GIET).
Candidates have to get the document verification done at designated centres.
Candidates will be shortlisted for APSCHE rounds based on their score in the entrance exam and preferences given by them for courses and colleges. The seat will be allotted to the candidates as per the counselling rounds.
For M.Tech.
M.Tech admission is made based on merit in the GATE/AP PGCET/GPAT score.
Candidates have to register for the counselling conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) based on the scores of these exams.
During the counselling, they have to give first preference to the Godavari Institute of Engineering & Technology (GIET).
Candidates have to further get the documents verified at the designated centres.
Candidates will be shortlisted for APSCHE rounds based on their score in the entrance exam and preferences given by them for courses and colleges.

For MCA:
Candidates need to appear for the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
The selection of the candidates is based on merit in the qualifying examination and entrance test marks.

- The Category A seats shall be 70% of the sanctioned intake of seats in each course which shall be filled with eligible candidates on the basis of rank obtained at EAMCET /JEE.
- The Category B Seats shall be 30% of the total intakes of seats in each course candidate on merit basis including candidates belong to other states and Union Territories of India and NRIs/NRI sponsored candidates.
- The Supernumerary Quota for PIO/Foreign Nationals/CWG seats shall be filled in excess of 15% of the approved intake per each course.
