      Government Dental College, Silchar Admission Process

      It is one of the premier dental institutions in Assam, targeting education in Dental Science at its best. It provides undergraduate programmes in dentistry and is affiliated with the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati. Methods of selection for GDC Silchar admission to this institution are well designed in terms of qualification for entry into the BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) programme.

      The GDC Silchar admission process is based on the One National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for candidates test. NEET test is for across the country entry into different medical and dental programmes. Over the dates of March 9 to March 11, 2023, the NEET application correction dates will be imposed for that particular academic year. With the completion of qualifying NEET by all prospective students, the GDC Silchar admission criteria must also be cleared to become eligible for admission.

      • Choose GDC Silchar and BDS programme based on your NEET rank and seat availability
      • If allotted a seat, pay the required admission fees to confirm your seat

      • The college requires a medical examination in determining whether or not the student is fit for the BDS programme.

      GDC Eligibility Process

      • Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects
      • Minimum age of 17 years as on December 31st of the admission year
      • Qualifying the NEET with a score as per the cutoff determined by the college

      GDC Degree-wise BDS Admission Process

      Government Dental College Silchar has BDS programme comprising total five years undergraduate course which includes the compulsory rotatory internship for one year. GDC Silchar admission to the programme is purely on the merit of the candidate's performance in NEET. The seats allocated by the college for BDS each year are 63.

      • Date of Birth certificate
      • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
      • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC) if applicable
      • Recent passport-sized photographs
