Government Physiotherapy College, Surat Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

This is one of the colleges where physiotherapy is taught in India; Government Physiotherapy College has its name in the list of physiotherapy colleges in Gujarat.  General admissions for all courses happen much the same way as the beginning of the academic year, i.e. generally around August-September. The BPT admissions are via the Centralised Medical Admission Committee of the Government of Gujarat, which prepares a merit list of eligible candidates based on NEET exams. For the postgraduate degrees, namely, MPT in Neuroscience and MPT Rehabilitation, both should sit for the entrance examination organized by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. 

This entrance exam usually takes place several months prior to the beginning of the new academic year. Every specific program has its varying eligibility criteria. For example, candidates seeking admission into the BPT program must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the major subjects. For MPT programs: Bachelor of Physiotherapy is a prerequisite. Application Process

The application process to be enrolled in Government Physiotherapy College, Surat, depends on the program:

For BPT program:

1. Qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
2. Register for Centralized Medical Admission Committee of the Government of Gujarat.
3. Fill out the application form with all required documents.
4. Wait for the merit list published by the committee.
5. If selected, report to the college for document verification and admission procedures.

For MPT programs (Neuroscience and Rehabilitation):

1. Check the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University website for the entrance exam notification.
2. Register for the entrance exam.
3. Appear for the entrance exam on the set date.
4. Wait for the results and merit list to be published.
5. If shortlisted, go through the counseling session as scheduled.

Admission Process Degree wise

BPT: The Bachelor in Physiotherapy Program at the Government Physiotherapy College in Surat accepts 50 students. Admission is purely on merit and the NEET score of the candidate for this 4-year tenure course. This whole admission process is administered by the Centralised Medical Admission Committee of the Government of Gujarat which prepares a merit list of eligible candidates.

MPT Neuroscience: This is a two-year postgraduate course with an intake capacity of 3 students. The selection criterion is the performance in the entrance test conducted by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. BPT is the eligibility criterion for this specialized program. 

MPT Rehabilitation: The pattern of admission is similar to that of the MPT Neuroscience program with a duration of 2 years and a capacity of 3 students. Entry to this program is through an entrance conducted by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. The applicants for this program must have a BPT degree.
