Admission to BAMS is mostly done on the basis of NEET scores. The course has a sanctioned intake of 60 students per year, which makes it extremely competitive.

The Guru Nanak Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital BAMS course is a five and a half-year full-time course with a one-year compulsory internship. The course is structured to give a sound foundation in Ayurvedic principles along with modern medical knowledge.
