    Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Honours in Chemistry is a three-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by Hansraj College, Delhi and affiliated to University of Delhi, Delhi.

    The Department of chemistry is one of the oldest and largest departments of the college. It is privileged to have 25 faculty members with their expertise spanning diverse areas of chemistry and the department comprises of well- equipped chemistry laboratories, instrumentation laboratories that house modern instruments such as UV-Vis spectrophotometers, Flame photometers, Potentiometers, pH-meters, colorimeters, etc. and a modern computer laboratory. There is also a chemical society in the department where the students and teachers interact beyond the classroom and course curricula to take care of extra-curricular needs of the students. The society organizes seminars, workshops and expert lectures on a regular basis to expose students to the latest developments across the globe. The syllabus is designed in such a way that our students can opt for any of specialized fields such as Green Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Nano-Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Biotechnology, Industrial chemistry, etc.


    Eligibility Criteria

    Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate courses offered by the University of Delhi shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto. The applicants seeking admission to the undergraduate courses offered by the University should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses in subsequent sections.

    55% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% or more marks in one compulsory language.

    College infrastructure is almost good,there is proper rules and regulations .also cleanliness routine by staffs. The only thing ,on which concern can be rise are washrooms.It also depends on students ,I guess.

    College infrastructure is good. It has the biggest playground out of all the colleges of North Campus, DU. Three huge buildings with a beautiful lawn. It got all modern facilities in lab. It got a three storey modern library and a huge canteen.

    My college has all the necessary facilities which are required to a student . From lab to ground , mess to hostel , wifi to libraries ,all are well maintained and we'll managed . Food is healthy and hygienic .
