Industry Internship Training
The college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, canteen, sports, club activities, library. But our college does not have hostel facility. Our college has varieties of clubs. Anyone can join our clubs. By these clubs, students can learn new things and improve their skills.
Teachers here are highly qualified and very friendly to students. They also help in improving your skills. They can help in guiding the students. They act as mentors in their internship to guide them. They are quite motivating. I am talking interms of marketing professor and that experience.
Our college placements were good. Students with more than 6.0 CGP in academics are eligible. The average salary offered was around Rs. 60,000-70,000 per month. They also conduct summer internship programme. There are also several industrial visits conducted by the college. Many of the companies visit our college for internships.
As per myself I think college is average in terms of value for money because of it small campus and and average CTC of placement in marketing domain. For finance it is good.
The college organised one major event in the last week of January. Other than that many small events are organised continually throughout the year of every club, either it is marketing, finance, culture, drama, debate. The college also conducts different competition almost every week.
PGPM is a certification course which is more of a practical and industrial based course, unlike MBA, which gives more theoretical knowledge. Moreover, PGPM course gets updated every year, so there's nothing that one could miss about what's happening in the economy and market.
The facilities and infrastructure are pretty good as compared to campuses in Mumbai. The canteen sometimes becomes very small for accomodating almost 1100 students once at a time but the quality of the food is pretty good. The classrooms are air-conditioned and quite spacious. There's a reading room where students can read, discuss about their assignments and upcoming fests.
I studied marketing as my major. Professors are quite qualified enough and knowledgeable when it comes to their area of interest. But sometimes students do face problems with outside facilities. Sometimes the quality of teaching differs but overall the professors do multi-skilling and have huge exposure in the industry-line. It does make us industry-ready when it comes to computer literacy and other specific domain knowledge also.
The college does provide internships to almost every student and also claims to provide placement to almost the entire batch. The top recruiting companies include Neilsen, Future Group, Motilal Oswal, Aditya Birla, Bookeventz, Runwal Group, Lodha Group. Different roles offered include Sales Trainee, Business Analyst, Security analyst to name a few.
At best college gives average ROI because in terms of fees that they take they should offer more.
Extracurricular activities are excellent, Annual cultural Fest gives great opportunities and experience. Crowd is average. It is located in Powai premium location it is. Only thing to taken care is number of students intake.
The infrastructure at IBS Mumbai is decent and supports a good learning environment. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors, air-conditioning and comfortable seating. The campus has access to well stocked library. Overall the infrastructure is functional and student friendly
The academic curriculum at IBS Mumbai is industry oriented and focuses heavily on case-based learning, presentations, and practical exposure. Faculty members are knowledgeable and bring real-world insights into the classrooms, making sessions interactive and engaging. Overall the academics are strong and help in developing analytical and managerial skills.
Placements at IBS Mumbai are fairly good, with many reputed companies visiting the campus for recruitment. The placement cell is supportive and conducts training sessions like mock interviews, resume building and aptitude preparation. Most students get placed, though the packages vary depending on specialisation and individual performance. The process is smooth, but students need to be proactive and consistent in their preparation to get the best opportunities.
Considering the quality of education, industry exposure, and placement support, IBS Mumbai offers reasonable value for money. The fees may feel slightly high, but the return on investment becomes justified if students actively participate in academics and placement activities. Scholarships and financial support options also help ease the burden for some students.
Campus life at IBS Mumbai is vibrant and engaging. There are various clubs, committees and events that keep students involved beyond academics. Activities like fests, competitions, guest lectures, and networking events help in personality development and building connections.
IBS Mumbai is a good choice for students looking for practical learning and corporate exposure. The college focuses on overall personality development, not just academics. If you are proactive, participate in activities, and utilise the opportunities provided, you can make the most out of your time here
The infrastructure is decent here. The library has a collection of over 34000 books of Management and other subjects. AC classrooms are available which are working and in a very good condition. You can have coffee in the short time break at Nescafé. The canteen has a lot of variety to eat for lunch. Medical facilities are provided by our college. Indoor games are available in our college including Table tennis, carrom board, etc.
I am studying PGPM in Finance. The teachers are very helpful in guiding their students, they are very knowledgeable. They create power point presentations to make us understand the concepts clearly. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students ready for the industry.
Placements are very good. Top recruiting companies visit our college for recruitment. Our college has good return on investment. The placement team works very professionally and supports every student to get the best placement in their desired company. The placement process is very smooth. Almost everyone get placed here.
Here the average CTC package is around 7-8LPA as per that the quality of teaching infrastructure they provide it fells like I am getting my ROI from here.
The crowd is very good. Our college is located in a very good place.
Ibs mumbai is very good college .It has all the necessary things that a college should have or things student can ask for to succeed here after all for the fees that they are taking that is obviously they should provide but few things are missing parking here is a big problem as so many students commute on their bike there is a cramped parking and it takes lot of time to get out of it and it's open so it's get really hot. No sport facilities for student nothing.
The quality of education that I am getting here is good and professors are really nice and supportive they clear every doubt of student and explain in simple term so that everyone can understand. Currently I am doing Postgraduation in finance as I understand it quite well . What they teach here is fundamental of everything do that the core base it clear of economics accounts finance marketing etc.
From what I have seen here so far really good companies for finance come here companies like JP Morgan, Deloitte, Blackrock, bank of America, etc. College has good connections with these companies and it is upnto the student to get placed in them. Almost every student get placed apart from those who are not blacklisted.
My fees is 4.5 lakhs per year. Expect the other expenses. And my criteria for if this colege is value for money is campus life and placement that they offer as average placement is around 8 lakhs CTC. and there no campus life in my view here just classes to attend.
I am not part of any club or committee here as they take a lot of time and we get to loose attendance and important lecture which is not good and attendance is Mandatory here so you can't skip. From last year, they allowed to wear casual cloth so that good.
The institute exudes a sense of professionalism, situated at the Hiranandani sector of Powai. The classroom facilities are cozy, air-conditioned, and well-equipped with technology. The Bloomberg Lab serves as an excellent resource for anyone interested in finance studies. The library is another place where one can expect to be productive. The downside to this location is that there are no places where students can socialize, and all the amenities feel constrained considering that there will be all of the batch members together. There also issue with parking of vehicle its always a struggle to park your bike here
The IBS Mumbai faculty are very down-to-earth and pragmatic in their approach, employing the case study format to ensure we are fully prepared to face the challenges posed by the business worldand rhe presentationas well. Unlike many other universities where faculty members are just educators, our faculty members are well experienced in their respective fields, giving all their lessons immense practical value. The Bloomberg Lab stands out as an added advantage, giving students technical training that is invaluable in the field of finance. The frequent guest lectures by some of the leading corporates in Powai is another strong point of the school.
Placements offered at IBS Mumbai are fine, although far from being among the best. There are some excellent chances to get into leading MNCs working in various sectors such as finance, marketing, and human resources, although the competition is pretty intense. Getting placed may turn out to be somewhat challenging due to the relatively few firms visiting the university. However, while most of the students get into reputable organizations, some may have to settle for mediocre firms as well. Placement support from the institute is satisfactory, although a large part is up to the individual efforts.
The tuition charges in IBS Mumbai are relatively high, and once you consider the additional cost of living, particularly if you come from outside, things become pretty costly. The total tuition fee alone is approximately 4.5 lakhs per year , and beyond this, there is another 2 lakhs as other charges. Even residing in Powai does not bring much relief since the cost of living there is high.
The campus environment is rather poor in this respect. Because of the vertical nature of the campus located in a business premises, there is no outside environment where one can relax. The bulk of "campus life" occurs either in the corridors or in the canteen and it tends to get quite crowded. There is not a lot of space available here.
After doing my undergraduate studies at Motilal Nehru University, Delhi, the IBS campus feels really small. It comes under the Hiranandani Knowledge Park and shares a building with SDA Bocconi, Polar International School, and several other schools and companies. The college is very modern, especially when you enter the second year. It feels like an upgrade from the first-year classrooms in terms of everything. One big downside is that there is no open area for students, which is something I really miss.
Teachers at IBS are very helpful; they focus on the overall development of students, working on our personality and communication skills. Teachers at IBS are graduates of IIM and IIT. The course is the same for everyone in the first year, but later, as per specialization, students' subjects differ. Marketing is strong at IBS, with each batch having a capacity of 60 students. There are two exams in each semester, along with additional quizzes between exams. Exams are challenging.
Placements are really good here, which is one of the reasons I took admission. The companies that come here are top MNCs for Finance, as well as Marketing, Operations, and HR. The no. Of companies in college pipeline is huge .more than 100 companies come bug and small and college try really hard to place every student possible so that they can maintain there 95% placed tag every year .
I would say for private college average package around 7 lakhs fees should be around 6 lakhs then only its good value doe Money.
I do not are part in any clubs or committee because my sole purpose here is to get placement as attendance here is compulsory and being taken through face recognition system so I just attend college and then leave.
The college infrastructure is good. It has quite an upmarket feel for an MBA college, with many amenities and equipment for students to use, including large canteens and kiosks for CCD and Nescafé. The college also has a good library, a modern gym, and classrooms equipped with smart boards. The entire campus is fully air-conditioned.
The teaching quality, for me, was decent. I'm doing my PG in Marketing, and so far, the marketing faculty has been really good, and I have understood things really well. The other faculties are good too. There is also a class for personal soft skill development to bring out the character of students and help them become good managers.
IBS is known for its placement as the best B-school in India. From the third semester, students are eligible for placements, including the Big Four and companies like Oxane, Digital Marveled, Teach Leap, etc. Many companies hire students, and our alumni work in top companies across the world. If they have any openings, they hire from our college. Our marketing profile offers a salary of 22 Lacs, the highest for our batch. 95% of students get placed, with an average salary of 7 Lacs. Most students secure good jobs after graduation.
I am part of placement cell so I know how many companies come for what role and package. Campus life is good here if you are very active and take part in club and events time will fly by really quickly.
For me as a student not having a playground is a biggest negative point about this college everything apart from that is there . College is really clean and modern with excellent classroom equipped with everything. Campus is small. No such campus life is here.
I have interest in looking numbers from a statistical point of view and they led me to purse Postgraduation in Finance. Professors here are very nice we understand what they teach because they make it very easy to grasp. They always ask us to ask question and clear your doubt .
I'm currently interning as an finance intern in BoB Bank and the quality of placement that I have seen from the seniors is decent most of them have got placed but the average package has dropped which might be due to job market situation. whereas quality of placement has been good here.
I my view if the fees was 5 lakhs I would say it was value for money .
I don't take part in any of rhe clubs or events so I can't tell much about it but what I have seen it is not much
The college infrastructure is clean and good. The library and canteen are available in the college. The hostel fees are on the higher I suggest preferring from outside via broker. The annual event named Konflux is conducted annually.
The faculty members are mostly kind and knowledgeable. They have knowledge in specific subjects too. The course curriculum is flexible too. Students can select the electives as per their interest from the given options. In Exams mostly application-based questions are There are case studies of many brands too, which are provided in exams so that student can think according to it.
According to my knowledge almost 90-95% of the students are placed as some of the students are pursuing their own startups. The top recruiting companies are JP Morgan, Deloitte, KPMG, Black Rock, EY, ICICI Banks and capegemini which hires around 100 student from this year, etc. Most of the students are placed as sales interns in some startups, Aditya Birla, etc. Management trainees, digital marketing management, researcher business development eexecutiveetc
It's average because for marketing the ROI is little less than Finance domain around 6 Lakhs.
The college has lots to offer to student but have little time.we don't have time to do all the things like you have club commitments class academics tests presentation every now and then you don't have free time.
I would say you should enjoy your Undergrad life to the fullest because during your postgrad you will not have time.
Hello aspirant,

Amity has a culture of exposing students to different
Hi,
In my opinion you should go for ITM Mumbai. ITM is better than IBS . ITM has good faculty, Better Campus and even Cost is little high then IBS . But you have to pay for quality isn't.
IBS Mumbai provides a two-year PGDM programme for Rs. 7.36 lakhs.
