Industry Internship Training
college has a great infrastructure with huge classrooms, all air-conditioned, Wi-Fi, computer labs, auditorium, library, reading room, etc. All the facilities are great and helpful for the students. But the thing is college is really small.
Curriculum was very well designed and concepts were deeply explained. The professors were also highly experienced and they know how to teach difficult things in such a manner that inclues both conceptual understanding alongwith industry examples.
placement opportunities were provided to all. The college has separate team which takes care of the placement of students from start to end. The college provides all types of training to help a student to secure a job in terms of physical appearance or verbal behavior. Separate sessions were held to guide students how tackle GD, PI and various written test too.
One annual event held by the college is konflux which usually held in the month of December or January. There were almost 10 different clubs consisting of different characteristics. There were sales club, finance ckub, marketing clubs, dance club, yoga club, photography club, etc.
The infrastructure of the college is very good you get access to Wifi , gym and library also you can take any book from library to read they have multiple options to choose from. They have 20+ Clubs domain, sports and many more and clubs are very helpful too
I did course in HR for my post graduation. Faculties of IBS mumbai is very experienced and have experience of over a decade they are the one who have already work with those industry which comes to college campuses so we get better idea of what is expected from industry and we can focus on those skills.
Placement is good they bring 300+ companies to the campus 98% students are placed and highest package is 18 LPA and Lowest is 5 LPA Faculty also helps you to get placed they take your mock interviews and prepare you for GD. KPMG, Deloitte, Capgemini etc. take student for HR here too.
In IBS you have to pay fees in 5 installment each installment will cost you Rs. 165800 and this you've to complete in 2 yrs and fees for every one is equal here there is no partiality for the fees you'll get scholarship if you score well in IBSAT exam and the exam is also easy
Campus life is good here but there no club for HR domain other than that few events happen like denim day, ethics day etc.
Really good infrastructure and they have all the necessary facilities and equipments. We have WiFi, smart boards and projectors. The environment in library is very peaceful. the hygiene is 5/5 from my side
Really impressed by the guides and professors, i studied pgdm specialisation in marketing. The curriculum is up to the date and the exposure in rotract changes everything about this institute. yes, it does makes the students job ready
the quality of placements that i received is really great as per my opinion. Because as a marketing student I came across many good opportunities, the average package was around 8-10 lakhs ctc per annum.
IBS mumbai feels really an upgrade from my undergraduate college Most of thing here feels good and premium from class corridors, classrooms, living spaces ,canteen especially in the second year. The campus infrastructure is great, and the labs, canteen, and classrooms are very spacious. Food in the canteen is very hygienic. Fresh like homemade food is available in the new canteen.
Here I'm doing PG in finance. Most of thr professors and teachers are really good except few .I thing is for sure you will be having trouble with economics in both the semester of your concepts are not clear and you faculty is not right. Overall I was satisfied with the curriculum and syllabus which is taught here.
IBS Mumbai intake every year is more than 1000 students. Among them, 90-96% of students get placed from the college. More than 200 companies visit our campus but the competition for placement gets tough because of the number of students. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA.
It is value for money because for me placement opportunities is the criteria for judging a college on this parameter and ibs mumbai offer good ROI .
As I am not part of any clubs or committee. But you have lots of different things to do if you want. You can join gym and get fit and its fees is very reasonable.
The college is very small, college gym is small too because of the small campus, there are no big sporting events conducted on campus. The college library is filled with a lot of books that students can use to gain good knowledge. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned, with projectors and comfortable desks. Our college does not provide any hostels.
IBS Mumbai only offers a PGPM program; faculty members from the college possess great skills. They are mainly focused on our presentation and communication skills. They are your mentors until you get placed. In one semester, there are a midterm and a final term, which makes for two exams per semester. So in total, you have to excel in 8 exams. The course is much more practical-oriented; it deals with skills that are essential in industries.
In IBS, you will have a lot of placement opportunities. Colleges have separate teachers who take care of placement activities. For our marketing batch, more banks like ICICI Bank, Industry Bank, HDFC Bank, Aditya Birla Finance, DBS Bank, and EY, like many other companies, hire students from our college. The package is 9LPA, which is mostly what students got. Summer internship programme that we need to do for 8–12 weeks where big firms like JP Morgan, Deloitte, and Morgan Stanley offer internships with salaries up to INR 50,000.
As per all the bells and whistles and amenities the college offer it feels studemt do get value for money in terms if mentorship from faculty placement and guidance. Course could be more updated apart from that campus need to be bigger.
Campus life is good here. I am part of club called kautilya is a finance domain club and I learn a lot from it apart from that events like konflux and aagman happen for student too.
College has all the equipment campus which is just limited to three floor is fully AC ventilated wifi enabled and has everything a student need to succeed. We don't have a hostel. You have look yourself for accomdation and its very expensive here in powai. Basic rent around is 15000 rs. The canteen has great food facilities with varieties of food.
Teachers here are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching techniques are very nice, and they make us comfortable during the lectures. Their teaching quality is very nice. But I think the curriculum need to be updated as they are still teaching which they did 5 years ago. I am also currently interning in company called inventure.
Almost 90% of the students in our course were placed. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA. The average salary package offered was 8LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, ICICI, etc If you work hard you can get placed early in a good job role which is what I heard from seniors.
IBS is value for money because the learning equipment knowledge and placement theat we are getting is worth the fees.
With regards to extracurricular activities, many activities are conducted on the campus as well as intercollege. We have different clubs formed by the students committee which helps students to grow in the filed they are interested.
Facilities and infrastructure available in our college are Wi-Fi networks, around 40 fully air-conditioned classrooms, library, language labs, computer labs, auditorium, spacious canteen, reading room, etc. The quality of the food served in our canteen is good and every day there will be a bag verification at the entrance.
There is only one cousee thatvis pgpm here which you can do in finance, marketing, HR, operations. There are many visiting faculty members, and many are good, but there are biased and play politics. Overall it depends on you to learn everything because some teach in Hindi. However, they are very experienced, and the syllabus is vast. They conduct 2 exams in a semester. The course curriculum makes students ready for industry
Almost everyone who qualifies to the minimum requirement will get placed with the lowest salary package of 4 LPA to 9 LPA, and international is around 20LPA. All big 4 companies and many companies for marketing visit our campus. Everyone will get an internship through the college.
As per placement it is average in terms of value for money.
Here the crowd is decent. College vibe is missing here you will feel as if you are inside a concrete structure where almost now natural light comes in. Activities and events from club happens but they happen in a classroom as there is ow place to conduct it.
The campus infrastructure is very poor; there is no ground for sports, games, or events. The auditorium is basically a hall with chairs and a dias. Our fest, Konflex, is amazing and includes many dance, singing, and flash mob competitions. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors and smart boards. The college does not have any hostels.
Currently I am doing pgpm in finance as I have interest in it. Teachers at IBS are very helpful; they focus on the overall development of students, working on our personality and communication skills. Teachers at IBS are graduates of IIM and NIT. The course is the same for everyone in the first year, but later, as per specialization, students' subjects differ.
Almost 90% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are EY, Deloitte, HDFC, IFFC, JIO, and Frootle. Around 90% of students got internships as well.
As per my criteria of college being worth it . It is average and they should focus more on quality profile and placement rather than student intake of 1300 students.
Our college organises the Konflux event and marathon. Many club activities are held in our college. These extracurricular activities, which also helps you very much in management skill and improve your personality.
Infrastructure wise, it is very well-equipped with many facilities. Library, IT lab, Wi-Fi campus, with proper classrooms. There are three canteen in the college with good hygienic foods of all types, along with CCD coffee outlet inside the college. The college has no hostel of its own but they helped in finding one nearby. The quality of the food in the canteens are good and hygienic. There are rooms for indoor games in the college as well, one can enjoy carrom, chess, table tennis, etc. in college. The college has no outside playground.
Teachers and faculty are highly qualified and experienced with more than 15 years in corporate which help give corporate exposure to the children. The method of teaching of IBS Mumbai is very well which includes a case study method, the best way to learn practically. The course curriculum is up to date with all the necessary subjects as needed in the market. This helps the students to be industry-ready. But one professor of accounts is there with whom I had a very bad experience I just don't understand how he teaches.
IBS Mumbai has a record of 99% placements till today. Our seniors had a batch size of 1200 approximately. Everyone has been placed in well-renowned companies. Avg package -7.5 Lacs and the highest package-20 Lacs. HDFC, ICICI, NESTLE, ITC, ASIAN PAINTS, ERNST YOUNG, TATA AIG, DABUR, OYO, TREEBO HOTELS, TCS, LODHA, MY GATE ICICI PRUDENTIAL comes for placement.
Being a 3 teir private college with fees of 9.09 lakhs for 2 year the quality of companies that they bring for me it gives good value for money.
There are various fests and extracurricular activities for the students. The campus is very nice and friendly. The campus crowd is also very friendly.
The college campus is really small. Every now and then there a mismanagement we have to change classes for test. Overall everything is there to support student wifi campus library gym but no ground and hostel you have to take care of your accommodation is your coming from outside.
Mostly at IBS Mumbai, the teachers are visiting faculty and are very sound in their respective subjects. The college prefers the case study method of teaching. Teachers also motivate the students to pursue their dream and be a good businessman. Here I'm doing pgpm in operationa and currently interning in yulu bikes.
There is a huge scope in marketing and finance specialisation, and usually, students get the job of assistant manager. The salary package offered varies from 4-48 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. ICICI, Tolaram, HDFC, JP Morgan, Lodha, Nestle, are top companies.
People judge VOM in terms of placement and package they offer for me it is support that I got from faculty in whichever way I needed apart from placements which was really appreciative.
Despite small campus in college I have made lots of friend and its for me is best.
Hello aspirant,
