About KGEC Nadia

Kalyani Government Engineering College, Nadia also known as KGEC Nadia was established in the year 1995 by the Government of West Bengal. KGEC courses consist of 11 programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in B.Tech, M.Tech and MCA degree courses. KGEC admissions at undergraduate and postgraduate courses are granted through the entrance exams followed by a counselling round. Candidates must meet the KGEC eligibility criteria for the said courses then qualify in entrance exams such as WBJEE, WBUT PGET, GATE and WB JECA followed by a counselling round for respective entrance exams. According to the data provided by the NIRF, over 320 students were placed during KGEC placements drive 2022 with Rs 4,00,000 per annum being the KGEC median salary package offered.

Some of the top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle and many more that participate in the KGEC Nadia placements drives. The Kalyani Government Engineering College, Nadia courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). KGEC Nadia is also affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam University of Technology, Kolkata (MAKAUT). Kalyani Government Engineering College, Nadia provides scholarships to deserving and needy students. Candidates aspiring for KGEC Nadia scholarships have to apply for scholarships offered by AICTE. These scholarships for KGEC Nadia students help them to pursue higher education without facing any financial difficulty. Each scholarship for KGEC Nadia students has its own set of eligibility requirements. The Saksham scholarships are for students with disabilities, whereas the Pragati scholarship is for female students. Other scholarships, too, have their own set of eligibility requirements for students. Each scholarship provides financial assistance to students in the form of cash awards or fee waivers.
