Batch of 2014 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
Kalyani Government Engineering College is currently the second most sought after engineering college through WBJEE in West Bengal. The college has good infrastructural facilities with well equipped mechanical workshops, labs (AutoCAD, mechatronics etc.), as well as electrical, computer, electronics and IT labs. In addition, other facilities of the canteen, stationery shop, refreshments and indoor sports are also there. The improvements that can be done include providing as in the classrooms, improving outdoor sports facilities etc. The Placements are generally very good for ECE, CSE, and IT branches. In the core streams like ME, EE placements are not good for the last few years with hardly 20-30% of the batch landing for jobs through college placements and that too in software firms, which I believe should be addressed immediately. The Hostel facilities are very good, though. The food is good, fees are very less and there is wi-fi, hotline facilities too. Overall for a person who is craving to pursue a career in software, this college is a good choice.

Batch of 2012 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
I spent 2008 to 2012 in this college. Over all college is good. Infrastructure varies along with departments. But most of the cases it is in better state. Most of the faculties are competent and qualified. Cost of the courses are quite less and affordable to all more over scholarships are available abundantly. College life is good but recreational infrastructure is not up to the mark. Hence lot of scope for improvements are there. Industry exposure and needs to be improved, along with that research oriented study can be practiced for improvement. Placement is better in IT companies. But other companies should be invited for the campus sing, it is possible to bring new companies by improving industrial exposure. Last but not the least, most of the students of this college are very intelligent and they shine in their career with their skills.

All the faculties are good and experienced enough.A good relation between students and professors. College is located in a very good location neither in center of the city nor very far from the city. Here everyone can fill the beauty of nature with books. Overall its a good atmosphere to study. Not so much research scope.
