Excellent infrastructure and learning from teachers. Administration is reluctant about placement and other industry-academia activities. It is located at 40 km north of Kolkata. So if you are not accustomed with sub-urban living you may feel boring there.

With a AAA+ ratings Kalyani Government Engineering College is one of the best engineering colleges in West Bengal. With a great faculty to student ratio one can definitely be sure that faculties will help them in each and every situation.Having a great on-campus hostel facility is a big advantage as it also plays in the role of developing a great senior-junior relationship. But be prepared, being among the top 3 colleges, you will be required to give your best.Plenty of greenery and basically a freeland .So education and enjoyment goes hand in hand here.If you have the courage and obviously the rank.then get ready for a grand adventure which you will remember till the last day of your life.

Batch of 2020 | B.Tech Electrical Engineering
Almost all facilities a student hopes from a college. College events are equally satisfying with respect to that of any other good college and even better. Organisation of seminars and workshops are prevalent. Hostel life is also quite good. Separate hostel for 1st year students together living like a family. Vast stretches of greenery in the college campus. the hostels are just aside the college.

Review - KGEC

Batch of 2012 | B.Tech Electrical Engineering
I have completed my B.TECH in Electrical Engineering from Kalyani Government College (2008-2012). Although this college is 3rd ranked engineering college in West Bengal, I have given an Average rating (2.5 out of 5) primarily due to its placement and weak faculty members. even though I studied in EE, there were very few core companies that visited our campus and most of our placements were offered in IT and Software. Keeping all this aside, I enjoyed my college life very much and made some really good friends.
