Khandoli Institute of Technology, Giridih Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has two distinct and separate hostels in Giridih town. It provides a home-like environment for the growth and development of its residents, ensuring at the same time attributes of discipline, care, concern, and conscientious disposition. It has accommodation for one hundred and fifty students in both the hostels. The Hostel provides accommodation during the operative academic session. The hostel has a Generator/Inverter facility to provide a backup power supply. Every block of the hostel is equipped with water coolers. The hostels have security guards round the clock. The Hostel has a well-furnished room. An ambulance is provided in case of emergency. There is a separate Library facility for the residents. The mess is primarily managed under the guidance of the warden by the residents through their elected Mess Secretary in cooperation with the Mess Committee and the Hostel employees. Both the hostels have a dining hall with modern kitchen equipment serving delicious and well-balanced nutrition, and a vegetarian and non-vegetarian diet. Special attention is given to First-year students and they are housed separately. There is an ‘Anti-Ragging Committee’ and a ‘Mentor cell’ for taking care to make the campus ‘Ragging Free. Telephone numbers of Principal, Warden, Asst. Warden, HODs, & other important staff are provided to each & every student of the first year. Guardians can always visit the hostel and take information about the individuals.

Sports play an important role in shaping the personality and fitness of students and to give a truly global experience to all the students living at Khandoli Institute of Technology, a sports environment matching global standards is provided to them at the campus. it is important that there is a wide variety of sports facilities to keep students engaged and physically fit. The college seeks to expand in the coming years and provide support to every individual to pursue the sport of his/her choice. Sports participation is a vital aspect for all ages and a powerful medium of interaction with other institutions. Institute has played courts for several games like Badminton, Cricket, Volleyball, etc, for both boys and girls. The College has conducted many sports events inside the campus and many students have participated in Zonal and State level competitions and won several prizes in various sports events. The College has a playground with sophisticated playing equipment for the benefit of the students. The college conducts sports meetings regularly and awards prizes to the winners. The college has exclusive sports personnel for the benefit of the students to train them in various sports activities. Keeping in view the importance of sports in today’s scientific era and its vitality in the shaping of an individual’s personality and health and fitness, the Institute lays considerable emphasis on students' participation in various games, sports, and track and field activities. The spacious grounds of the institute are laid out into playfields for Cricket, Hockey, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis Badminton, etc. Facilities have also been provided for Yoga, Weightlifting, Wrestling, and Kabaddi.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The students have to commute from different areas of the city to the Institute for which the Institute is providing a bus facility from Boy's Hostel as well as from Girls Hostel and Different places of Giridih Town the Institute. Apart from providing transportation facilities to students and staff, the college provides the facility for industrial visits. A full-fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facilities to students and staff from various places in Giridih Town. This service is offered to ensure hassle-free and safe transportation. The College runs 3 buses for providing transport facilities to students from various places in Giridih city. The number of buses will be increased corresponding to the increase in the intake of students. For security and added comfort, we provide buses for the transportation of students. The routes and pickup points are clearly laid out, and you are requested to follow the timings set for the pickup. In addition to the transportation provided by us, buses from all corners of Giridih Town.

The College Alumni Association maintains and enhances a highly engaged, vibrant community of alumni and friends all over the world. Its regular members include recipients of degrees from the Khandoli Institute of Technology and all the Faculty Members. The purpose of the Khandoli Institute of Technology as stated in its Constitution is to promote the welfare of the College and to establish a mutually beneficial relationship between the college and its alumni. The college Alumni Association helps alumni connect with the college and with fellow graduates through a wealth of Club activities, continuing education programs, online services, and alumni events. The college Central Library is known as Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Library which serves as the perennial source of knowledge for the students as well as faculty members. The library is well equipped and well managed. the library provides reading materials in accordance with the curriculum of various disciplines to help students to grasp knowledge for examination purposes besides their general mental development. A very rich collection of books are maintained with a total collection of 2000 books. The collection is growing day by day on various current and emerging technologies related to various streams. The library is providing Book loans, Reference services, Reprographic services, and Digital Library services to Faculty members and students. Two books are issued to a student for 15 days. Five books can be issued by Faculties. The library has a spacious reading room with all the necessary facilities along with a standby generator. Reference books and magazines are available in the Reading Room. The purpose of the reference section is to provide reading materials that may be issued in the circulation section.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

Students study the design of digital hardware and software systems including communications systems and devices that contain computers. The computer is the study, design, development, implementation, support, or management of computer-based particularly software applications and computer hardware. The computer center of this institute boasts of being called as “The gateway across the globe”. With over 100 computers, ready to take the students across the geographical boundaries of the land at a speed of 10Mbps dedicated internet leased line.
