The college have all necessary infrastructure the labs are well equipped . Wi-fi is available and tge library have range of books and journal you will need . Canteen food is average but chai is just awsome
The faculty of all the departments is well qualified and experienced. They are best guide you will ever get. The curriculum is updated as required. The faculty is not only connected to the college but also they are connected with different organisations.
There is no such placement cell in the college. But faculty provides you internships and sometimes recommend you for jobs through their personal connections But i think tgere is high need of a placement cell in the college.
The overall architecture has a very authentic feel, and it also feels special as it was established long back.. with beautiful buildings to gorgeous lawns and the beautiful picture perfect spots. The places are maintained very nicely as well.
Academic wise the college is really good, despite indulging in the co curricular activities it still finds importance in focusing on studies. The quality of teaching honestly depends on how one manages to make the most of the facilities.
I have yet to graduate so I cant really comment on it, but as far as I have heard from the alumini and the seniors the placement are pretty good.. Rest I am yet to find when I graduate and hope to get a good experience
Although the cost of the course may seem pricey at first but considering the facilities it offers and the advantages you get as an irwinite makes up for it. And as far as money's worth is concerned, yes I did get it.
The campus life is amazing, the teachers the faculty and the students I encountered were really nice and even safety wise the campus is pretty safe.
The stereotype that girls college isn't as fun as co ed colleges needs to be wiped out, girls colleges are fun and entertaining in their own way giving you the best 3 years of your life!
You must have seen those red coloured walls of colleges in various Bollywood movies, well I’d like to proudly tell you all that it’s this college itself- Lady Irwin College. It is one of a very famous heritage building.
The teachers and the faculty members are truly dedicated towards their job which is to provide their students with the best education, they put in their 100% in their jobs. Home science is something which is very essential for a person to grow in life.
Great placements if you have a great experience and good marks are like the cherry on the top. All the teachers keep their students updated with every upcoming opportunities and help the students with the same as well.
The course costed around 30k or less for a year which is totally worth it because it doesn’t go I. Vein with facilities and services provided. This course includes a lot of practical work which is why it costs even this much due to laboratory work.
The campus life is to die for, such great ECA this College offers to their students. One should always be a part of an ECA society if they want to enjoy and live a campus life to the fullest. Great events and great experience.
I was a part of the society and I lived my 3 years to the best; would suggest all of the readers to do the same. Do study for enjoy.
College has a nice atmosphere and very lively with all the necessary facilities and the labs have all the materials required. Campus is WiFi enabled and is maintained well. Living spaces are clean and well maintained.
Due to the pandemic my first year is online so we don't have face to face interaction but the teachers are all very nice and supportive and teaches really good and I'm able to comprehend everything and notes provided are also helpful.
I have no idea about the placement since my first year is online mode and I don't have much interaction with seniors and about the placement policy of the college and the packages offered to the students.
Course fees per year is 29,496 Rupees. The cost is affordable and the college provides scholarship.
The college has many societies which we can join according to our likes. There are 2 annual fests in a year which are really fun.Various activities are arranged by societies which are really fun.
The college campus is huge and spacious. There are quite a few buildings for events and classes . The infrastructure is very nice and the classes are well equipped with projectors. There are many trees around the campus which makes it very beautiful and green.
The academics here is great, the teachers here honestly are very helpful and leave no stone unturned while teaching us. I am pursuing B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science, it gives you a variety of subjects to choose from after graduation, you have options. This is for people with a creative bent of mind. It helps you explore what you want to do. It does make you job ready. The curriculum is also well updated.
Basically there are no placements after UG but our teachers here are very helpful and help us with internship opportunities and job offers. You get placed after Masters in a particular field like Food and Nutrition or Human Development or the others.
Lady Irwin has one of the best campus infrastructure in Delhi University. Everything is well maintained and does gives a typical DU vibe. It has all facilities like smart classes, wifi and the Canteen is also very good.
The courses are very updated and it touches all the areas of education and practical knowledge. The teaching methods are very good and understandable. The curriculum is well updated and followed. And yes it has all recent developments.
It provides good placement opportunities. And around 60% of the students get placed every year. And the college itself is very supportive in terms of choosing your career. It also provides good jobs and Excellent salary packages.
The fees is quite justified as per the facilities provided. The environment is very clean and good. The college provides well equipped labs and classrooms.
The campus life is very good and enjoyable. It is near to the metro station which makes my travel easy and it has many places to roam around and visit with your friends. It too have societies and in short it has everything.
Yes our college has every required facilities and equipment! It is one of the most reputed college for anything related to home science. Our library is something about a place to sit quietly with your peace of mind and it provides every book . Yes! Everything is hygienic and clean.
Teachers are amazing and very supportive of every student. They do there best and not only remain confined to the syllabus, they help us explore our experiences too! Online classes only have been so interacting and we just can't keep calm to attend the college.
We have really good alumni. Due to which many good companies come here for good students and my seniors who have graduated have gotten into some great companies and at least everyone here is trained well to pull of and make their own brand!
My course was just around 29k per year, which very nice as compared to other college and private colleges specially.
As seen from past year photos and past year annual events, this college conducts one of the best fest in du. It is truly a dream. And the student association of our college is truly a dream team and they never fail to amaze us!
If you get a chance, don't Miss it! You'll regrettttt.
Lady Irwin has one of the best campus infrastructure in Delhi University. Considering the fact that it is made in the 1930s, everything is well maintained and does gives a typical DU vibes. Wifi facility, smart classes are well used and maintained. Canteen is up to the mark.
The courses are regularly being modified and updated. Each batch gets the better version of the particular course. Courses offered here are very practical and diverse in themselves. Somehow it touches all the areas of education and practical knowledge, be it science. development, interior design, nutrition, entrepreneurship, fashion and textiles etc. all under one roof
The placement cell is the only turn off here. You might end up getting one if you really study your guts out but I can't give surety for that too ( in graduation). There's no particular internship or job fair by the college.
It's a little expensive than other North, South campus colleges.
DO JOIN A CULTURAL SOCIETY. The college is off campus and to get that DU vibe or to make your college days stand out and memorable, you need to be part of cultural society. College is more about than just attending classes. The annual cultural fest of Lady Irwin is one of the best in DU. It surely comes under top 3 and is worth it.
The college is disable friendly and have all the necessary facilities. The library is well maintained. WiFi is provided. Classrooms are neat and clean. The lawns of the college are well maintained. Only the hall of the college needs some changes.
I was studying B.sc (P) Home science and the quality of the teaching and work material provided by the teachers is very good. The curriculum is updated. This course requires a masters and doesn't really make you job ready.
There is no placement cell after graduation and this course requires a mandatory masters because it's a multidisciplinary subject. The placement is provided after post graduation but not graduation. Field work is also done but no internships are provided as such.
The cost of the course per year is 20,000 something. I think it's worth it because the administration and management of the college is very good.
The campus life is very cool because it is located in the central delhi. It's also a hub for theatre enthusiasts. The campus is safe and there are a lot of places to visit nearby to chill. The students, union, teachers, admin, staff everyone is very supportive.
The college building is quite old but we'll maintained. The classes are big and well equipped with facilities like projectors. The wifi although doesn't work. The campus is all over very nice with nice green lawns and red building. Looks beautiful.
I am pursuing bsc home science and the teachers here are very supportive and well trained and provides deep knowledge and understanding to every topic. The curriculum though seems to be outdated and needs to be more job ready.
There is no placement cell for undergraduates. Only post graduates are offered some placement opportunities but still the number is less. Students mostly find jobs and internships offcampus and professors really help in guiding them.
