Oct 2016......a marking point in the history of my life....a feeling mixed with anxiousness, enthusiasm, anxiety, good nd bad thoughts i.e., A TRANSITION FROM SCHOOL TO COLLEGE. This is a point in every teenager's life which owe him to his future. I got admitted into a dental college situated in my hometown. College is usually considered as a dream for evry individual...nd so it was for me. I had many dreams nd thoughts about college life in my mind.... all from the reviews of tv. The very first day of the college we were taught to be in discipline , not to bunk any classes, wear a doctor coat and the most important MAINTAIN THE DIGNITY OF A DOCTOR..... this was a situation where I found myself in a jail. There was no fun. Just teachers, classes, hard studies...etc. I got very upset. I thought opting for this career was a blunder because all my expectations were ruined. BUT then someday i sat alone. Thought about my aim in life. And got an answer. The answer my soul gave me. That was just a single word DOCTOR. I realized that this is a profession where we are considered next to the Almighty. If we keep on enjoying our lives like the arts students, we ll ruin the patients' life. Nd now after 4 months from the commensment of my college i feel like i have opted for a good college. We have teachers who guide us. Friends whom we enjoy with.we need to breathe out of the hard situations because this is the time we have to enjoy, study nd carry out all the other interests. My college is a really nice place nd i enjoy the days. Just to conclude i can say that medicos do have a tough life but the blessings of your patients make out the best feeling. The library is an outstanding one. We have post graduation in our college too....with a lots of departments. Dentistry is doing wonders even in abroad. Our college provides a facility of DDS after BDS. The college has a tie up with many other institutions nd offices so there is no lack of patients. In the third professional year the students are taken to GDC for further lectures. All the departments have a professors , HOD , readers, senior lectureres. Well furnished labs and student friendly environment. The hostels are a nice place to live in. There are wardens to maintain discipline. Enough space like parks nd canteen to refresh ourselves. The fee structure is a bit high being a private institution. The government quota fees starts from 165000 per annum with a 10% increase evry following year. The management quota fees starts from 220000 per annum with the same 10% increase. The girls are much more in number in comparison to boys. So LBDC is a nice college and hospital to carry on with your dentistry.
