The Madras School of Social Work (MSSW) in Chennai is a premier institution for social work education and research. This institute has quality facilities, infrastructure and equipment and a huge library and hostel is super good.
Students are exposed to psychological assessment in both semesters of their third year. The psychology laboratory contains various test materials and apparatus-based tests.Field experience is provided through dedicated papers on “Case studies” in the final year.
Graduates from the B.Sc. Psychology program can explore careers in clinical, industrial, or educational settings. And getting chance of job immediately is very low and I would suggest one should do masters.
Yes. College is neat and compact. All the necessary equipments are available. This is small college with minimum number and course. They provide neat campus with good infrastructure .i recommend to apply here.
Im doing my MA HROD, the quality of the teaching is effective and they complete the portion on time with many activities . They will give lots of activities and inclass assignments. It will be more useful
As of now good number of people are placed. I didn't yet experience the placement still. As per seniors they will good number of companies coming. I would love to get placed in campus. The companies are qualified
Overall this is very good college for academics
The college is smaller in comparison to other colleges so it doesn't provide with infrastructure you would expect, but it is well maintained and kept clean. The library is pretty good and provides you with all the books you would require.
The teachers were friendly and approachable, they helped us with any particular doubts and issues we had related to our subject. The curriculum has been designed is such a way in order to provide you with exposure to various fields related to HR
The college has good placements, most of the top companies come for the recruitment process like TCS, CTS, Hyundai and many others. All of my batchmates go placed, so in terms of placements the college is pretty good.
My course was around 70K per year, well ultimately you do get placed and they teach you all the subjects required in todays HR industry. They also provide you with sufficient internships and makes you job ready
The campus is quite small so their isn't that kind of exposure, they teachers and overall crowd is quite friendly and easy to mingle with. The college is also located in a good place with access to hostels.
All four colleges are reputed for MSW, but here’s a quick comparison:
MSSW (Madras School of Social Work), Chennai – One of the best in India for MSW; strong faculty, placements, and fieldwork exposure.
Loyola College, Chennai – Excellent reputation in social sciences; good infrastructure and practical training.
MCC (Madras Christian College), Chennai – Known for holistic education and good alumni network in the social work field.
St. Joseph’s University, Bangalore – Growing reputation with strong field exposure and decent placements.
Top Pick: MSSW is generally considered the best among these for MSW. But your choice should depend on specialization, location preference, and fee structure.
