Maharana Pratap Dental College, Kanpur, is an institute of excellence for dental education in Mandhana, Kanpur, UP. The college offers BDS. For admission in BDS, there is only one criterion that is based on national eligibility cum entrance test (NEET-UG), which is conducted every year for dental courses across India.

NEET-UG is one of those common examinations that put students on investigations in all aspects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. This is what the college follows to admit students on merit.

On this note, NEET-UG as an exam stands to provide applications from 7 February 2025 to 7 March 2025 for the session of 2025. The examination is done online in the month of May. Candidates should satisfy all norms of eligibility set up by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and NEET-UG.

Application Process
Steps towards application for the BDS program include:

1. Register for NEET through the official NEET portal from 7 Februar to 7 March 2025.

2. Take the NEET-UG test, which is usually conducted in May.

3. Waiting for the announcement of NEET-UG Results.

4. Participating in the Counselling Process conducted by the authorities according to NEET ranks.

5. Verify documents during counselling, which may usually require:

   • NEET-UG scorecard

   • 10th and 12th Mark sheets and certificates

   • Valid ID proof

   • Domicile and category certificates if applicable

   • Passport size photographs

6. Seat allocation and finalization will be done based on NEET rank and verified documents.

7. The course fee has to be paid after the confirmation of seats.

8. Report to college on the specified date and join the BDS program.

BDS: Bachelor of Dental Surgery

• Total Approved Intake: 100 seats

• Course Duration: 5 years (including an internship)

• Completion of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

• Valid NEET-UG score

• Age and other criteria as per DCI and NEET guidelines
