Manish, you haven't mentioned in which exam have you scored a rank of 116986. But if this is in KCET, we do have the cut off list for KCET Mock Counselling for the year 2019. Unfortunately with this rank you might not get a seat in New Horizon College for Engineering irrespective of your Category. You can check the cut off list at: http://kea.kar.nic.in/cet2019/mock/engg_cutoff_gen.pdf . If it is not for KCET but regarding anyother exam, please do let us know. If this for KCET, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. We would suggest you to use our College predictor: https://www.careers360.com/kcet-college-predictor
Yes, there is a chance to change your branch in second year after full filling the following criteria:
1) score more than 85% in your first year.
2) if there would be vacant seats in your desired branch.
Hope it helps.
All the best.
Vellore Institute of Technology , Andhra Pradesh and New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore both are leading Engineering colleges of India. Being top level colleges, both have achieved many rankings and ratings. The course is backed up by renowned faculties and CSE being one of the most demanded branches, grabs most of the placements in almost all Engineering colleges. However, New Horizon College of Engineering has been ranked at 114th position in Engineering colleges of India by NIRF. And if we go through the placement record, VIT Ap is good but it is better in New Horizon. Companies like Cisco, IBM, Amazon, Class Method, EY, VMWare, Capgemini, TCS, Tech Mahindra etc come for recruitment. Hi,
New horizon college of engineering is located in banagalore and is a private institution affliated to visveswaraya technological university. It has the AICTE approval and has total seats of about 150
It provides MBA course to the candidates.
Both e&t and m&t refer to the same college and theres not so much of a difference
Hello Aspirant,
Based on this score the chances seem to be less getting the core branches in NEW HORIZON COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & MANGALORE INSTITUTION OF TECHNOLOGY and ENGINEERING.
Since it is very late to answer your query, I hope you have checked the seat allotment & also allotted the seat in any of the engineering college.
Good Luck!
The infrastructure was good. It was not luxurious, but it was very nice. Wi-Fi was provided in the college and hostels with separate IDs. We had a library and a reference hall as well. We were not allowed to sit and read in the library, so we had a separate reference hall where all facilities were provided, such as tables with charging ports and facilities to make projects and complete assessments. There were big separate grounds for cricket, basketball, and badminton. Our campus was across 110 acres, so we had a huge garden with trees. The food in the mess was good.
There are a nice infrastructure and a nice environment that students can adjust easily to everything. The biggest library is a good booster to all the students. There is Wi-Fi facility on the campus, and the hostel rooms are like our personal rooms. The college canteens are very good. It serves all cuisines.
The best infrastructure which we can find in the surrounding college in Bangalore. When you enter in to the college you feel like you have entered some MNC company. The infrastructure is at its best as they have given more importance to the students comfort. They give free Wi-Fi, SAP labs, big data labs schienzer labs many more labs are been equipped.
