New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE), Bangalore provides admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral-level courses. NHCE Bangalore UG admission or PG admission is based on students' performance in any relevant national-level/state-level entrance examinations. NHCE Bangalore BE admission is done through candidates’ scores in KCET. For admission to MTech (CS) course, the GATE score is mandatory. NHCE Bangalore admission to MBA and MCA are done through KMAT/ MAT/ Karnataka PGCET entrance exams.

Visit the official website of NHCE Bangalore.
Candidates have to click on the ‘Admission’ tab.

10+2 or equivalent exam with English as one of the languages and should have secured an aggregate of 45% in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Electronics/Biology.

For candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum eligibility will be 40% aggregate marks in the optional subjects in the qualifying exam.

NHCE Bangalore BE Admission Process 2024

First, candidates have to meet the NHCE Bangalore BE eligibility criteria for admission.
Eligible candidates are required to appear and qualify the entrance exam: Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET).
Fill and submit the application form online along with the scanned documents for verification.
After the declaration of the KCET result, the cutoff for different courses and categories is released.
To participate in the counselling of KCET, candidates will have to complete the registration and choice-filling process.
Final admission will be offered after seat allotment, verification of documents and NHCE Bangalore admission fee payment.

Academic wise I think it has got to be the best. As they cover everything a CS student has to learn during their college year. This has become problematic also as it would be easier to focus on one thing and mastering them rather than hoping from one language to another. Focus can be transferred to practical knowledge rather just mugging up theories and passing exams.

yes, our curiculum is updated but I think it should be more updated and replace the 1st year non computer science /Basic Science and Humanities (BSH) courses to the core cse course subjects. So, the students can learnt more topics.

New Horizon College of Engineering is better for CSE.

The "NHCE" faculty offers strong educational content or resources.

Compared to other engineering branches at New Horizon College, CSE placement is by far the best. For placements, several firms come to campus. The student is given access to the placement drive in this case up to a year after graduation. Many core and non-core BPO organisations come here to hire new employees. The chosen candidates are also offered a decent package. Some of them are also subject to a 2- or 3-year bond.

Based on previous year cutoff trends your rank does not matches with NHCE cutoff with mentioned streams, in year 2021 for cse branch the closing rank was 8731(home state rank), for ece branch it was 20706(home state rank) and for ise branch it was 11495(home state rank). However You can check these streams where the previous year cutoff trends are quite near to your rank -

MEC - 133201

You should also keep in mind that Cutoff trends varies Every year by considering the following factors -

Which is a better choice ECE at Pes electronic city or AI at NHCE

According to career360 PES college got 4 rating out of 5. and NHCE college got 3.8 rating out of 5.

PESIT Karnataka is located in Bangalore on Hosur Road. Many reviews have said that it is one of the college to study CSE, IT and ECE as it have high placements. Highest package was 50lpa INR (Atlassian) , average salary is between 6.5-8.5 lpa INR

NHCE Bangalore has been ranked 121 in the Top Engineering Colleges across India, as per the NIRF Rankings 2022 which has been announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI while as per the NIRF Rankings 2021, NHCE has been ranked 141. The median salary packages was about 6.5 per annum

Both are colleges are one of the best colleges in Karnataka as both have good rating in both placement and campus life. So you can select the course either AI or ECE based on your interest.
