NHCE Bangalore admission open for the academic year 2026-27. Students can apply via the official website.
As per NIRF 2025, New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore ranked 151-200 in the Engineering category.
On Nov 16, 2025 NHCE Bangalore has conducted SARGAM 2025, featuring Sunidhi Chauhan live.
I joined New Horizon College of Engineering in Bangalore three years ago and am since a part of the college and also integrated into some of the inner workings as a volunteer under various inner workings and it is a good life.
The academics is good and somewhat helpful although like in the Indian Education System it is, more that anything the focus is on just memorization and all that rather than actual learning but the events are good.
The placements are good and a lot of varieties come in along with vary harmonious packages and very diverse cultures and backgrounds. The best thing about it is that we get to learn a lot and gain much.
The college is definitely not worth the money if you are under the management quota and it is a very bad college for packages and job opportunities vary a lot depending on branch and individual preparation. Also, commuting can be a pain if you stay far from the campus — traffic in that region can easily add 45-60 minutes each way
In short: NHCE offers fairly good academics, infrastructure and a vibrant campus culture. If you pick a popular branch (CS/ECE/AI) and stay motivated, you’ll likely benefit. But for lesser-known branches or if commuting is tough — the experiences may vary.
The college infrastructure is quite good overall. Classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with basic seating, fans, and proper desks — enough for comfortable day-to-day learning. The laboratories (science and computer) are functional and have the required equipment for practical sessions; they are maintained decently which helps during experiments and assignments. The library is a peaceful and resourceful place for study, with adequate books and reference material, making it a useful facility for students. There is Wi-Fi available around campus which helps when we need to access online resources or work on projects. Hostel accommodation is available for students coming from distant places — the rooms are clean enough, though sometimes maintenance and cleaning could be improved. Mess and canteen facilities provide meals, and there’s scope of different food options, which is convenient for hostelers. The campus has a small sports ground/outdoor area for recreation. Medical / first-aid support and basic facilities like drinking water are provided, which adds to the safety and comfort of students. Overall, the college gives a supportive environment for academics and daily student life, though there is room for upgrades especially in hostel hygiene and expansion of recreational spaces.
The overall infrastructure of the college can be described as average. The campus has the essential facilities required for academic activities, but many areas still need noticeable improvement. The classrooms are functional with basic seating arrangements, fans, and adequate lighting, yet they lack modern equipment such as smart boards and updated projectors. The laboratory facilities are decent but feel slightly outdated; although the necessary instruments are present, better maintenance and regular upgrades would greatly enhance practical learning. The library is a helpful resource with a reasonable collection of books, but the seating capacity becomes insufficient during exam periods, and the availability of newer editions is limited. Wi-Fi is provided on campus, but the connectivity is often slow and unreliable, especially during peak usage hours. Hostel facilities are average as well; rooms are manageable, but cleanliness and timely maintenance could be improved. The canteen offers basic meals, though the variety and hygiene standards could be better. Sports facilities exist but are minimal and not very well maintained. Overall, the infrastructure meets basic requirements, but with consistent maintenance and modernization, the college could significantly improve the student experience.
Placement scenarios at the college are quite good overall. Many students get opportunities through campus recruitment drives, especially in core and IT-related roles. The placement cell seems active — they frequently invite companies for on-campus placements and also guide students about preparing for interviews and resume building. A fair number of students are placed in reputed firms, though the average package tends to be modest rather than exceptionally high. For students excelling academically and technically, placement chances are significantly better. Internships are also encouraged, which helps those who may not secure full-time offers immediately. However, placement support could improve for students from non-core streams or those with lower academic scores — for them, off-campus placement assistance and training need more focus. Soft-skills training sessions and mock interviews are conducted, but could be more rigorous and frequent to help students compete better. Overall, if you are a dedicated and proactive student, the placements situation here offers decent opportunities and a realistic chance at employment — but the outcome depends heavily on one’s own effort and preparedness.
In terms of value for money, the college offers an overall average experience. The fee structure is manageable compared to many other institutions, but the returns you get for the amount paid can feel inconsistent depending on the course and individual expectations. The academic quality is satisfactory, and most faculties are supportive, but certain departments could benefit from more experienced staff and updated teaching methods. While the infrastructure and facilities are decent, they do not always justify the full fee, especially when some classrooms, labs, or hostel areas require upgrades and better maintenance. Placement opportunities exist and are fairly good for students with strong academic performance, but the average package does not always match what students expect relative to their investment. For some courses, internships and industry exposure are helpful, while others may feel a gap between the curriculum and real-world skill requirements. On the positive side, the campus atmosphere is student-friendly, and several extracurricular activities, workshops, and events add value beyond academics. However, to truly achieve a higher value-for-money rating, the college needs to improve consistency in facilities, placement outcomes, and overall student support. Overall, the college is reasonably priced for what it offers, but there is definite scope for improvement to make the experience fully worth the fees.
Campus life at the college is genuinely enjoyable and creates a positive environment for students to learn, grow, and interact. The campus is lively throughout the year, with various clubs, events, and activities that encourage students to participate beyond academics. Cultural fests, sports competitions, departmental events, and workshops are organized regularly, giving students plenty of opportunities to showcase their talents and explore new interests. The student community is friendly, and it’s easy to make connections across different courses. The faculty is generally approachable, and they support students in academic as well as extracurricular pursuits. The campus atmosphere feels safe, and security is maintained properly, which helps students feel comfortable during regular classes and events. Recreational spaces like sports areas, open grounds, and common seating spots add to the vibrancy of daily campus life. The canteen becomes a popular hangout spot, offering a place for students to relax and chat during breaks. Although the variety of food could be improved, it still serves as a good social space. Overall, the college offers a balanced environment where students can enjoy both academics and extracurricular activities. With a little more focus on expanding recreational facilities, the campus life experience could become even better, but as it stands, it is quite good and memorable.
The campus of my College is really good and having good infrastructure and Basic amenities inside the campus itself. Classroom are also good having Smart board internet connection, faculties are also friendly. They have industry supported labs inside campus. Also campus contains indoor and outdoor stadiums, play area, basketball court. The campus very clear and hygienic, the field staffs do their work each and everyday. Also the food prepared in the canteen is also of good quality, descent prize.
I'm currently studying Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science Engineering. As I like to learn computers nd coding. The teachers are teaching really good with best efforts giving assessments to learn a lot. Yes the curriculum is updated.
The quality of the institution is also good. Almost 85-90% of the students are placed from the college. Last year the highest package in Computer Science was around 50 LPA. The average salary package was around 6 LPA last year.
As I'm from CET my course cost ₹1.2 L per year. Yes I do feel the money's worth.
The infrastructure was good. It was not luxurious, but it was very nice. Wi-Fi was provided in the college and hostels with separate IDs. We had a library and a reference hall as well. We were not allowed to sit and read in the library, so we had a separate reference hall where all facilities were provided, such as tables with charging ports and facilities to make projects and complete assessments. There were big separate grounds for cricket, basketball, and badminton. Our campus was across 110 acres, so we had a huge garden with trees. The food in the mess was good.
The old faculty members were knowledgeable and came from IISC and IITs, but the new faculty members were not up to the mark. Many times, they would get confused. This institution is private, so exams were not from VTU. Question papers were prepared by our faculty. As explained earlier, if the old faculty had prepared papers, they would have been challenging and of good quality. However, the new faculty members would prepare question papers with low quality
Placements were excellent for CS, IS, and EC branches, but for EEE, placements were average in our batch, although they picked up in the upcoming years. The top package was 15 LPA from LAM Research. The lowest package was 3 LPA from DXC. Internships were offered by Schindler Electric and General Motors
There are a nice infrastructure and a nice environment that students can adjust easily to everything. The biggest library is a good booster to all the students. There is Wi-Fi facility on the campus, and the hostel rooms are like our personal rooms. The college canteens are very good. It serves all cuisines.
Faculty members are very experienced and known for best. The course curriculum prepared by our faculty members are very easy to understand and simple to follow. The teachers are helpful, and all the teachers are available after classes also. The teaching methods are very easy to understand.
For placements, we had a placement cell, and they are the best team. Every year, students are getting 95% placements. In all streams, the percentages are same. For internships, our placement cell had the best process like internship cum placements.
The best infrastructure which we can find in the surrounding college in Bangalore. When you enter in to the college you feel like you have entered some MNC company. The infrastructure is at its best as they have given more importance to the students comfort. They give free Wi-Fi, SAP labs, big data labs schienzer labs many more labs are been equipped.
The faculty are very well-trained and experienced. In MBA department majority of the faculty are well-experienced, and they have completed PhDs, and they have got a doctorate. HOD is one of the best people who supports you in all the possible ways. They provide many options in specialisation like HR, finance, marketing, business, analytics operations etc.
100% placements are available with the reputed companies and good packages. They are given pre-placement training, and they have a separate cell for this which helps the students in placement. All the major companies in the town are visiting for the placement on all the specialisations.
* Best campus in Bangalore and good faculty and nice way of teaching from faculty, available free wi-fi, labs also available near and clean classrooms and labs. * 3 times food with variety of dishes, like dosa edle Puri price with more sambar and weekly 2 Times chicken, every day complete with egg and a well-cleaned room, each room 2 students.
* In every class time, teachers are very helpful and support in studies; if we don't understand really, teachers are very supportive and good quality education are provided from college. * No difficulty in this exam; all covered topics only will get the questions in exams and overall 90% of students passed.
Around 85% of students were placed in our course, and the highest package is 22 LPA and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Capgemini, JP Morgan's, TCS, and one is Japan company I forgot the name of that company, and more companies are recruiting in our course. 90% of students got internships.
The facilities are good even though our college is money-minded. If we give the money, you get good services, the mess food is decent, and you have many cafeterias to choose from. We have a decent WiFi connection for basic tasks. Everything is expensive; they will try to extract money wherever possible.
Some parts of our course are very up today; we will have a have a few parts remain very old and if you are lucky, you will get a faculty member who is really experienced and when I teach, while at other times you get the worst teachers whose class you feel like bumping into and not attending and go home and learn yourself, there will be a lot of self-learning without which you won't be able to come up with the fast pace
70% of students were placed and that was too low package jobs. Companies have even made a remark saying this collage is producing mass candidates and nothing sparkful. Also, this college and Capgemini have dark collaborations. The worst part is they take a certain percent of your 1st year salary after being placed.
They provide a good infrastructure with clean classrooms . Wi-Fi facility is there inside the campus. Labs are good and maintained cleanly. They provide a very good library. They also provide us with a digital library so that we can study in home. It also helps a lot to the students.
In terms of curriculum and other activities, our college is the best. We will be having at least 2 major festivals in the college in a year. We have one major festival a semester and two to three small events. And college clubs are always conducting activities such as hackathons and others .
Placements of the college is very good. They will allow us to attend placement for many companies. At least 80-90 percent of students get placed here .in our batch, many students are already placed; we still have one year of course remaining; almost 50% of students are placed. Good college for placements.
We have unlimited Wi-Fi in our college for each and every student, and there is a dedicated lab for each and every subject, be it Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, or Mechanical. There are good facilities such as hot and cold water. In the library, there are adequate books for studying.
Faculty members are top-class, and they have adequate knowledge about the topics. Teaching quality is top-class. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Exams are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage is 95 percent, which is very good.
Seniors have got good placements with an average of 4.5 LPA, and staff are very supportive. They tell us and prepare us for how to attend an interview. About 100 percent of placements have been done. The highest was 45 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. Capgemini and Nvidia are top recruiters.
Hello,
New Horizon College of Engineering is better for CSE.
The "NHCE" faculty offers strong educational content or resources.
Compared to other engineering branches at New Horizon College, CSE placement is by far the best. For placements, several firms come to campus. The student is given access to the placement drive in this case up to a year after graduation. Many core and non-core BPO organisations come here to hire new employees. The chosen candidates are also offered a decent package. Some of them are also subject to a 2- or 3-year bond.
Thank You
