Omar Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Centre in Jalna is one of the premier colleges in Maharashtra for providing quality education in homoeopathic medicine. The admission process for this college is systematic, ensuring that deserving and hardworking students are selected for the BHMS program. This process is largely limited to admission into BHMS based on marks obtained in NEET-UG.
The entire admission process probably goes in sync with the schedule of once-a-year NEET UG examination conduct. Every single aspirant, in order to enter into the BHMS program, must qualify the NEET UG examination for the same. The sanctioned strength for the BHMS is 100 and thus only a handful of students are admitted into the college.
For eligibility into admission for BHMS, the candidate under consideration must have successfully completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects and must provide proof of having attained a percentile as may be stipulated in this regard in NEET UG, by the regulatory authorities.

NEET UG Registration: The candidates` first step remains the registration for the NEET UG exam through the official NEET website. This generally includes filling an online application form, uploading required documents, and payment of examination fees.
NEET UG Examination: On the allotted date, the candidates are to take the NEET UG examination, which comprehensively tests Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the 10+2 level.
NEET UG Result: The candidates will then await the declaration of results for NEET UG and ensure to have obtained the minimum qualifying percentile laid down by the regulatory authorities.
State Counseling: Candidates qualifying in the NEET UG examination shall be eligible to attend counseling at the state level conducted by the Maharashtra state authorities for admissions into the BHMS.

BHMS (Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery): The flagship program being offered at the Omar Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Centre, Jalna, is the Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS). This is a full-time course for six years that covers all theoretical information and practical skills required to practice homoeopathic medicine. Admission to the BHMS program is totally merit-based with respect to the NEET UG entrance examination. The total number of seats approved for the program is 100; thus, the chances for hopeful homoeopaths are several. Basic requirements are 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Admission into the BHMS course requires passing the NEET UG exam.
