    General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year and six-month full-time diploma program offered by The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).


    Eligibility Criteria

    • The candidate’s age must be at least 17 (Seventeen) years as on the academic year of that session.
    • Must have passed the "10+2" examination (passed in both Theory & Practical separately) from any recognized Board with at least 40% marks in aggregate.
    • Must have passed in English with at least 40% marks in the "10+2" examination.
    • Candidates passing 10+2 in a Vocational Stream must be from one of the following disciplines: Health Care Science, Agriculture, or Home Science.
    • Candidate must be a citizen of India and a resident of West Bengal for a minimum of 5 years.
    • Candidates must be medically fit for the course and provide a Medical Fitness Certificate in the format supplied by WBJEEB.
