The Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) is designed with a special focus on current Computer Applications. It is three years (six semesters) full time program. The BCA Programme aims to develop ability to interact with real-life situations and to build systems which can be efficiently processed on computers. The completion of the programme helps the students to take up positions in System Management and Project Management in leading IT Corporations.

The Degree of B.C.A of the University of Lucknow shall be conferred on the candidate who pursues the prescribed courses of study for six semesters and passes the examinations as prescribed under the relevant ordinances.

BCA stands for Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) and it is designed with a special focus on current Computer Applications. It is an undergraduate 3 Year (Full time) Programme on Semester Basis. Today we have seen a noticeable rapid growth of IT industry in India and this increasing growth has created a lot of opportunities for the computer graduates. People who are interested in computers can surely go for this course. A student can end up being very successful after completing the course. Admission Process

The admission is done through Written Entrance Examination followed by Personal Interview. Admission will be granted on the basis of the final merit-list prepared by the admission committee.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should have passed intermediate / higher secondary (i.e. 10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum of 50% marks for GEN/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST. Candidate with mathematics as one of the subjects (only Science / Math stream) are eligible.
