Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed 10+2 / Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) with: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects.
Minimum eligibility marks
- General Category: 45% aggregate in PCM subjects.
- Backward Class (BC): 40% aggregate in PCM subjects.
- Most Backward Class (MBC) & DNC: 40% aggregate in PCM subjects.
- SC / ST / SCA: A pass in PCM subjects is sufficient (as per Tamil Nadu Govt. norms).
For Lateral Entry (Direct Second Year Admission)
- Candidates must have passed a Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) in the relevant branch recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu.
- Admission is through the Lateral Entry Scheme, with limited seats as per Anna University norms.

- Students can apply through Anna University Counseling (TNEA) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu.
- Eligible candidates are allotted seats based on their 12th standard / HSC marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
