Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the University of Kashmir, Srinagar.

Eligibility Criteria

The Applicant must be a permanent resident of J&K State as defined in Section-6 of the Constitution of the J&K; Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and with at least 50% marks for Open Merit Category candidates and 45% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Socially and Educationally Backward classes.

Admission Details

The admission of students to courses right from notification to the selection of candidates is made by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BoPEE), an agency constituted by the J&K State Government. The institution admits only those students whose names appear on the list of selected candidates issued by the BoPEE.

College Infrastructure

SSM College of Engineering has a spacious and peaceful campus located near Parihaspora, offering a good environment for learning. The college has well-equipped laboratories, libraries, smart classrooms, workshops, hostels, and transportation facilities for students from different areas. The greenery and calm surroundings make the campus comfortable for academic and extracurricular activities. While some facilities can still be improved, the infrastructure overall supports students well and provides a decent engineering college experience in Kashmir.
