SSM College of Engineering, Baramulla Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a boys' hostel facility. The hostel is named after a famous Football Club “Manchester United.” The hostel is present within the college campus. The water facility is available 24*7 & Electricity Generator is available whenever needed. The cleaning staff is assigned to check the cleanliness of the hostel. Every meal is tested for hygiene & if needed is sent to a food laboratory for testimony. The total intake capacity is 175 students. Wi-Fi service is available 24*7.

The college has a dispensary that provides the most basic primary healthcare services.

The College of Engineering library is a resource center for teaching, learning & research. Being the heart of the college, it is home to all the information services. It plays a proactive role in enabling access to information resources of all kinds and providing innovative, responsive, and effective services to meet the changing needs of the students and faculty. The major objective of the library is to provide the latest information/knowledge to the right users at the right time The library has a 100-seating capacity, a digital library, an e-learning center, a reference section, a circulation counter, journals/magazines, and a newspaper section are also available. The library holds a hybrid collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, audio-visuals, CDs/DVDs, e-journals, reports, course materials, previous years' question papers, project reports, etc. Currently, the library holds over 51,798 books, and 300 print journals, and provides access to electronic resources, newspapers and business magazines, and 1500 multimedia resources. And also have institution membership of NDL. It offers a fully integrated and dynamic environment for conducting academic and research activities. Multiple copies ensure that resources are easily available in the reference section and stack area as well. The central library is Wi-Fi enabled and under CCTV surveillance.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college labs are set to create a specialist environment required for students of Computer Science Engineering. High-end servers connected through the latest switches. Internet and Intranet network facilities supported by high-quality software based on curriculum and global requirements, along with the latest operating systems, allow the students not only to develop their skills but also access the internet for convenient internal as well as external communication with the cyber world, the college provides free access to the Internet to its students.

The SSM College of Engineering Alumni Association (SSMAA) aims to work for an all-time interaction and gives a feeling of fraternity among alumni of the institute. The association also provides opportunities for interaction between former (passed out) and present graduates and the faculty of the college. The alumni of the college are working in different positions in different Organisations and Institutions of National and International repute and SSMAA is a platform where they share their experiences with other alumni and students
