The training and placement cell of the Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu, facilitates a four-week industrial training programme for students at the conclusion of their sixth semester.
The placements are pretty average, but that is more due to the unwillingness of students to take part in them, than the college. Most students studying here are focused on government jobs and hence they do not partake in placements at all, but those who do get pretty good deals.
In my college the placement section is poor. Very low percentage of students are placed here with a very low salary offered. But overall our college is supportive in every way . But still placements are not so good.
In my college the quality of placements is very low. Only up to four percentage of students are placed from our college every year. The salaries offered by the companies are up to one lakh. But all the above our college is supportive.
