One of the Oldest and Finest Colleges of India, It has maintained its Proper, Neat and Clean Infrastructure since its very Inception. The College is coping with improvements in Science and Technology and has its own telescope and Superb Lab Equipment and Research Facilities for various Science Courses and Degrees. Clean Smart Classes, Well-maintained Libraries and Large Basketball Court and a Football Field add to the Prestige of the College.

If you are a Resident of West Bengal particularly Kolkata, this College will not need any introduction. One of the Favorite and Dream Colleges for Commerce Students of Eastern India. There is huge enrollment in B.Com (Honors) Degree Course, BMS , B.Sc. Economics (Honors), B.A English (Honors) and many Science Courses. I am a student pursuing B.Com (Honors) Degree and I would love to say that the Curriculum they follow gets updated automatically with changes and teachers are very cooperative.

I am presently pursuing Graduation and will graduate in 2023 . But from the Report of the College Placement Cell for the Year 2019-2020, all the prime Companies like Larsen Toubro , Infosys , Big 4 Audit Companies, Accenture, Mondelez International, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and Many Other Prestigious Companies. The Highest Package offered was 21 Lakh per annum and Average Salary Package was 7 lakhs per annum.

Unlike other Professional Colleges, the Cost of Studying in St. Xavier's College at any Degree is Comparatively Less and Affordable.

It has a great infrastructure. You will love the atmosphere and green field. Canteen food is just amazing and you will never have enough of it. The classrooms are equipped with Air Conditioners is also a plus point.

Academics is totally amazing. It has its own syllabus different from the Calcutta university which makes the curriculum perfect for the current job market. They also make amends in the curriculum in order to stay.

Placements are average. If you are a very good student then only you can get a good placement. Remember you are among the brilliant minds from the country so you have to be extremely bright in order to get One job.

College charges a bit more than the colleges. It will come you around 3 lakhs for a bachelor of commerce degree which in my opinion is bit more but the college brand name will eventually pay off in the long run.

It is not great. You have to sit roll number wise. You can't be late in the class. Classes will begin sharp at 6am and if you are late even by 1 minute you have to miss that class. A bit tough for the outsiders.

It is great to be a Xavierian and you will realize it once you will make it through to the college and if you will you will enjoy the best 3 years of your life. It will just an amazing experience. Hope this help.

Located in the heart of Kolkata, no other campus in the city could provide facilities even close to what is offered at SXC. Lush green cricket field, state of the art computer labs, one of the best libraries (in terms of books and infra), name it and get it.

The course is tailored in such a way that one is able to leverage professional courses like CA, CMA, CS or MBA. Although affiliated to CU at that point in time, the course was much ahead and so were the examination systems.

Placements at SXC have always been a cherry on the cake. I have seen recruiters like Google and Mckenzie taking undergrads with 7 digit packages. It was a plus for me as a CA student to get internships with Big 4 firms like EY.

The fee is much less compared to any other college that provides such facilities. The same was low because of grants received from government as well. All in all, as a finance guy, the ROI at SXC is beyond one would dream.

The college always works on its infrastructure. All labs are present and accessible: finance labs, computer labs, physics, science, chemistry labs are quite well equiped. All the departments in the college are very active. Hostel facilities are also good.

Undoubtedly in terms of academics SXC, Kolkata is one of the best institutes. If one follows the class regularly, there is no need for tuition. The notes and study materials are up to date. College also supports abroad semesters, if one has decent scores.

Placement starts quite early with all the renowned startups, marketing brands, consultancies, and Big 4hire fresh graduates. I will suggest one start preparations after completion of 2nd year. Currently, I am placed at Ernst & Young, Kolkata.

Indeed its value for money as the ROI is quite high. Approx: 25k/semester.

Our college has average quality of infrastructure and facilities. Yes it is obvious that every room has sufficient light and fans. Some room have projectors also. Library is too good. Hostels are well maintained and food is healthy.

I am studying in BSC physics and I personally feel that all of the teachers are very helpful and they tries to clear our doubt everytime. It also helps us to get ready for other competetive exams and also it is based on the new CBCS course.

Our college does not have a seperate placement cell. I do not have any information about the salary. But yes this college is too much supportive and helps us to cope with our competitive exams. So it's quite good.

My course fees are 34,400 per year and I think it is worth it just because of the quality of the teaching.

Our campus life is just like that of another college and we can enjoy all kinds of sports in our college like Basketball, Cricket, Football, Volleyball and many other sports. Our college fest is one of the most famous fests in Kolkata. The students support staff and teachers are too friendly.

St Xavier's College, Kolkata is an academic dream. We have professors who are renowned across India, who are approachable, considerate and caring. The administrative staff and faculty are truly understanding. The experience, the grounds, the people, the fests, everything about college makes it the best time of one's life.

Our professors are extremely knowledgeable and supportive. We have a term coined at Xavier's, that they are our 'academic parents', and they do that name justice. The course material taught is par excellence, and each and every one of our professors is truly invested in furthering our academic proficiency.

I have had some great internships through my college. The Placement Cell is very efficient. We get internships/jobs from institutions like Deloitte, Citibank, HDFC Bank, HSBC Bank, and numerous workshops aided by the likes of the same.

Regarding infrastructure and facilities in our college is good but not best, it's still old school type infrastructure. We's are not getting that quality facilities for we are pay. Literally 5 students on a medium size bench either sit or just keep your stuffs.

Academics is like same teacher is forced to teach more than 4 subjects, just think about the mental state of that teacher as well as the quality of teachings he delivers to the students in that state.

For placement we have a separate department but when it comes to notice regarding placement there is no such thing exists, only notice we got regarding early payment for this or last date for payment for that.

Kind of boarding school more focused on clothing than that of academics.

Students are paying just for its name and for nothing.

The college has all the necessary infrastructure which a student requires for his overall development..we have a library ,wifi facility, hostels,sports room..The college offers you various types of activities..so that one can get enough exposure..

I'm pursuing bcom(Hons) and the faculty is superb..the faculty is ever ready to solve our doubts..like whenever we have doubt they tell us to come after 9:50am in the staff room( as our college timing is from 6-9:50am)

Not much idea but what I heard was that many graduates from finance field were recruited in good companies and were offered good packages..and the placement cell is very cooperative and supportive...there are many graduates woh got jobs and are well settled in life..

My college fees is around 10500-12000 per quarter

Out of my 2years I've spent only 0ne year in college because of the pandemic..so far my experience goes amusing.

As we are studying in the online mode, the batch of 2020 didn't the experience the actual college life till date. But according to all of our seniors the infrastructure of Xavier's is literally very good. Facilities for practicals are excellent and AC projectors everything is available. So, I think it's quite good.

As I said previously we didn't get the chance to learn from our professors how our seniors had experienced. According to my online learning I can surely say that, professors of our department is very very good. And they are quite friendly too. And specially for Statistics, practicals of Xavier's make Xavier's this college best for this course.

I don't think students are looking for placements just after their bachelor's. But some of our seniors got placed. As till now we don't know about our college properly. But I can assure you that this is one of the best college for Statistics.

Xavier's is a private college and for Statistics it costs approximately 30k per year. As, unfortunately we are studying in an online mode, it's quite high for an online mode. But in respect of a private college I think the cost is worthed as we will be studying in offline mode, I hope soon.

This question really hurting me, as almost in the end of our 1st year we haven't seen our college. I'm also too excited to experience our campus. According to all of our seniors the campus life in Xavier's is really beautiful.

For Statistics it's one of the best college but one have to study quite hard in this college though.

Yes, the college has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. Everything is well maintained and hygienic. There is Wifi, libraries with smart facilities and smart boards in each classes. Canteen is well maintained and clean.

B.Com hons, the quality of teaching is decent with quality professors. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments. Most of the faculty has doctorates in their respective areas.

The quality of placements is good with great many companies recruiting graduates from the college. With big4 and other consulting firms visiting the college every year with great many packages with highest CTC going upto 21 lacs p.a.

The college course is cheaper than most of the institutions in the same category with fees less than 50,000 p.a. It is more than what is worth the money and all the facilities provided are more than sufficient.

Campus life is dull for students in the morning department following a monotonous routine of attending college at 6AM and leaving the campus for studies of other professional colleges at 9:50 AM. All the more, the college administration is too stringent with respect to certain rules which makes it a bore to attend colleges which they have to because of attendance criterias and the too reach the college not later than 6:02 or miss the first class.
