TNEA for other state students – Eligibility Criteria

·         Candidates must be an Indian citizen but not a native of Tamilnadu. Candidates will have to upload a certificate of Permanent residence in the prescribed format in English only while filling the application form.

·         Candidates must have passed HSC or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% for General Category and 40% for SC/ST candidates in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

·         Candidates who have received grades are required to produce the actual marks else the minimum marks applicable to the grades in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be taken into account

Cutoff of anna university is not calculated based on states.

Your cutoff marks is calculated based on 12th agregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Your cutoff is calculated as follows

• convert maths marks to 100
• convert physics marks to 50
• convert chemistry marks to 50
• Add all the marks you get your cutoff out of 200

No, 181 cutoff is too low for anna university.

But you have chances if your community is ST/SCA/ST.

otherwise you get some other better colleges with this cutoff.

Very sorry to say dear, 181 cutoff is good. 

But, it is too less to secure seats in highly reputed colleges like anna university & madras institute of technology.

For MBC, they require a cutoff of around 193-200.
