No, there is no seperate counselling for B.arch.

TNEA counselling is for both B.E/B.TECH & B.Arch.

The minimum requirments are securing a

  • 50% score in HSC for general
  • 45% in HSC for BC
  • 40% for MBC,DNC
  • 40% for SC/ST/SCA.
  • The candidates must have passed National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)

May i know your marks for physics, chemistry & maths.

Now let's go through your question as you already would be knowing that at present, Anna University offers various courses at UG, PG and Doctorate level.

Here is a brief summary of admission procedure for pursuing course's in Anna University go through it once.

  • For pursuing B.Tech and B.Arch admission's are subject to candidates merit in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) process which includes choice locking and final seal allotment.
  • Note:NATA qualified candidates are also eligible to apply for B.Arch program.
  • Candidates have to qualify in Anna University Common Entrance Test (TANCET) to secure admission to ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ MBA and MCA courses. Final admission is subject to Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) counselling process.
  • Note:Candidates seeking admission to ME/ M.Tech courses on the basis of GATE score are also eligible. Such candidates need not appear in TANCET.
  • Anna University conducts separate Entrance Test to offer admission in M.Sc and M.Phil courses.
  • Ph.D. admission is based on the university-based written Test followed by an interview although UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ SLET/ JRF Teaching Fellowship holders are also eligible for admission.
