Eligibilty Criteria to apply in Anna University is:

Candidates From Tamil Nadu who have passes class 8, 9 ,10 and 12 exams from the state are eligible.

Candidates who have studied 8th to 12th class in th state to TN are eligible and don't need to enclose a nativity Certificate.

• BE/ B.Tech and B.Arch admission are subject to candidates merit in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) process which includes choice locking and final seal allotment.
• NATA qualified candidates are also eligible to apply for B.Arch program.
• Candidates have to qualify in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) to secure admission to ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ MBA and MCA courses. Final admission is subject to Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) counselling process.
• Students seeking admission to ME/ M.Tech courses on the basis of GATE score are also eligible. Such candidates need not appear in TANCET.
• Anna University conducts separate Entrance Test to offer admission in M.Sc and M.Phil courses.

• Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in 12th class in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• 40% of marks are mandatory for candidates belonging to reserved Category.
• TNEA Application Process will begin from May 2, 2019 and last till May 31, 2019.

your score is good, and their are good chances of geeting a seat in CEG or MIT.

From previous year cut off trends, one can assume him/herself in a safe zone at this score.

Also, if you are from from reserved category, then you will be benefitted.

Hi Aspirant,

Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering is a four year full time course at Anna University.

It has total 60 seats for the course. For admission to all UG Courses are made by Government of Tamil Nadu through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) administered by Anna University.

To be eligible for the course,the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics fron recognised board or university.

It really depends on your caste and the branch which you want to go. If you're looking into the mainstream branches like mech, ECE, software, you'll need a higher cutoff (196 for FC). For architecture or other branches like leather tech etc it will be lower. Keep in mind that it will be more than 185 all branches (oc) considering you want to get into Anna University which is one of the best colleges in Tamil Nadu.

As per your cut off score and previous year trends, you cannot get admission into Anjalai Ammal Mahalingam Engineering College by TNEA counselling. To get your TNEA score, divide your marks in Physics and Chemistry by 4. Then divide your marks in mathematics by 2 and add all of these and you shall get your TNEA score out of 200. This formula is for students whose score is out of 200.

For example, if your class 12 marks are out of 100, then your cutoff will be :

71%2 + 73%2 + 71 = 143, which is your cutoff for CBSE stream.
