148.5 is a considerably decent cut off and you will get mechatronics in tamilnadu. You will get good college if you have a considerably decent rank. But a top college is not a assured one. You will get a decent college.

My daughter scored 492 in First Group in Plus 2. Her cut off is 152.5 in MPC. She is physically challenged (Orthopedic) candidate.

Your daugter has scored very nice mark,According to my opinion their is 90 % have a chance to get an anna univeristy.But it depend upon the number of applicant they are applying for counselling .Theri is only 1 % reservation for physically chalenged peoples.This is very good mark

BE/ B.Tech and B.Arch admission are subject to candidates merit in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) process which includes choice locking and final seal allotment.
NATA qualified candidates are also eligible to apply for B.Arch program.

your score is good, and their are good chances of geeting a seat in CEG or MIT.

From previous year cut off trends, one can assume him/herself in a safe zone at this score.

Also, if you are from from reserved category, then you will be benefitted.

It really depends on your caste and the branch which you want to go. If you're looking into the mainstream branches like mech, ECE, software, you'll need a higher cutoff (196 for FC). For architecture or other branches like leather tech etc it will be lower. Keep in mind
