You can get into some of the top engineering colleges and some NITs lower branches but for this exactly you have to go through complete counselling rounds. The colleges generally have a trend of normalizing the marks so as to maintain transparency in the admissions process and also to maintain parity amongst the marks awarded by various boards across the country based on the level of diffculty. So the normalization process is used to arrive at a cut off marks so as to keep all the students at the same level while preparing the final merit list.

No, you are not eligible for TANCET as it is for candidates seeking admission for MBA MCA M.TECH M.ARCH programes by colleges affiliated with Anna University. So first you have to complete your bachelor degree with minimum 50% to appear in TANCET. Well last date for TANCET is 25th April

According to the eligibility criteria laid out for admission in VIT, you must score a minimum aggregate of atleast more than 60% marks in Physics, Maths and Chemistry subjects in you class 12th boards. So if you do not have 60% or more marks being in the general category them im afraid that you will not be eligible to take admission in VIT no matter what your rank in the entrance exam is. Fulfilling the minimum required marks in 12th boards is mandatory.

If your percentile is 68.25 in JEE mains then i am sorry but you can't get any IIT's or even the NIT's. So, if you consider my advise then you can join any private Universities if you want or else you can drop one more year for the preparation.

Anna University will release TANCET Application Forms in April 2019. Candidates can register online at annauniv.edu only. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree is necessary for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test.
