Cut-off for joining B. Arch in School of Architecture and Planning varies every year. The students applying for B.Arch should appear for the NATA Exam (National Aptitude Test for Architecture ). The total marks of 12th will be considered for the cut-off calculation ( not MPC marks ) by converting.
It to 200 marks, in addition to the 200 marks of NATA.

Out of the 400 marks calculated, the approximate cut off for joining B.Arch in SAP for

OC category: 305-315

BC category : 300-310

BCM category : 290-300

MBC category: Around 280 to 290

SC category: Around 280

ST category: Around 280

Basically both of them are good university and honestly it depend on student to student and their experiences. Both university follows same education system.

where as NIRF ranking ANNA UNIVERSITY is placed in top comparatively to vtu and Anna university is oldest than VTU. Also all colleges under Anna university are not good so you have to selecte and than go for anna university. 

Coming to the students satisfaction in both these universities, Anna University has better feedbacks when compared to VTU.
