Dear Applicant,
How are you, I hope you are doing well. About your question, at Anna University msc in cs is a distance / correspondence Master's degree course with a total fee is around INR 56,000. If you are ok with distance learning you can do cs. They even have the option of correspondence course ie. through email etc. Computer science as a subject for MSC is all about coding and maths. If you think u are flexible enough to understand directly than it's perfectly fine to study. There can be times you need to guidance of teachers pertaining to your queries, at that particular time you might not be able to get it solved that's 1 of the disadvantages of this mode.
At PGS, you get to do two internships from reputed companies. It is also known that PGS has a very good curriculum designed and the mode of teaching is very good as well plus MSc students get 5 years to polish their skills. Usually MSC are for 2 years mostly the admission is done through interviews.
If possible apply in both college. If u pass in both choose the 1 in which you are comfortable in and what you like to study.
Hope this helps all the best.
Hello George
No you won't get refund of the money the only way you get refund is if you are not allotted any seat then only you will get the refund according to TNEA procedures but you can manage the counseling fees with the provisional institution you have chosen where they will deduct Rs5000 from their college fees for that semester
hope this helps you
Hello
According to your son's marks he have decent chances to enter for computer science engineering at university. The admission for engineering courses for colleges coming under Anna university is by TNEA ( Tamil Nadu engineering admission) ranks.
It's difficult to predict the exact college he will get into because the cutoffs changes every year based on the no.of students applied, seats available and their class 12 marks.
As per your query, CEG college had a cutoff of rank 77 previous year and MIT had a cutoff rank 444. By the way, ACTECH is not offering computer science Engineering.
Since TNEA has already released the ranks on September 23 , you can join colleges according to that.
You can use this link to predict your spot in colleges by TNEA rank: https://engineering.careers360.com/tnea-college-predictor
Hope this information is useful
Thanks
Hi there!
Anna University is good for B. Tech courses.
CEG ,MIT are the soul colleges of Tamil Nadu Engineering Colleges. this is often possible only we neglect IIT Madras and NIT- Trinchy. CEG and MIT share similar placement ratios. As their campuses fall into Anna University. during this 2-4 Campuses are included.
CEG:
College of Engineering Guindy Tamil Nadu is documented college. this school is way popular and good than MIT. this is often the oldest Engineering College hence its brand value is way larger than other Engineering Colleges. Thus CEG ranks the simplest altogether fields of Engineering. CEG campus placements are also wide enough than MIT.
MIT vs Guindy
Both the schools are very excellent altogether sorts. But whenever we glance to any institute we glance for its placement and for our future point of view.
So I even have mentioned their difference on the thought of Placements.
MIT Chennai has the foremost record of 100% placements altogether filed including engineering . Top companies come and hire students here. Here Mechanical placements are higher as compared to the opposite institute. They receive package of about 4LPA which is above the opposite institutes.
But the placements of scholars occur in Guindy campus of both CEG and MIT.
CEG Guindy has 95% and above placement rank but the typical package is about 4.2 LPA. But its Mechanical placements are only about 60%. the very best package offered was about 36LPA, and thus rock bottom package offered is 3 LPA. Average salary offered is about 5LPA.
Thus consistent with me ypu can choose any College. But consistent with me you'll choose Guindy. Because their college has received 36 LPA for mechanical department which is high.
Thank You.
