TNEA is not an exam it is a counseling authority like JOSSA , CSAB and JAC . But the difference is in those 3 admission is based on JEE Mains and JEE Advance but for TNEA Counseling merit list is prepared based on your 12th performance .

Yes , TNEA is necessary to get into Anna University .

Admission to AU is done merit based.  candidates who have good merit holds high chance to get an admission.

TNEA is the state exam for admission into engineering branch in different college/institutes.  for previous year,  TNEA cutoff for CSE branch was 152.25-195. Some colleges also accepts JEE mains. for jee mains, if you have rank below 50k then there is high chance to get an admission.

To get placed in good college or top university like anna university, you need to get qualified for the state  entrance exam. Like to get seat in Anna university for lateral entry, you need to pass for the appropriate exam being conducted by state government like TNEA( tamilnadu engineering admission.)

You need to  get the cutoff marks for the exam. This cutoff marks will get changes every year by considering last year cutoff, number of students attended the exam etc.

Anna university is having different cutoff marks for different branches. The official cutoff marks for 2020 will be available in first week of june.

Atleast cutoff you should get is 150 and above marks in TNEA exams.

.cutoff for civil last year for anna university is 147 opening marks and 194 closings marks( last year cutoff).

I would suggest you to do MBA program in any of the IIM's because recruiting management will prefer students from IIM. Anna University and PSG are good for their technical courses (B.E/M.E) but they are not well known for the management courses. However coming to your question prefer choosing Anna University it will be better than PSG.

For various courses the fee structure would vary depending upon the program and course tenure. Mostly cutoff for TANCET in Anna University vary according to the number of students appeared for the exam and even cutoff also depends upon the highest normalised score which is of topper (percentile) , now in the past years it vary from 13.33 to 26 (SC category) and more also , so here you have 64 percentile that means you may eligible for counselling first as cutoff would  be in favour , now coming to your chances directly in Department of Management Studies in Anna University , Chennai so you are still having good chances for getting into it as per your score mentioned but these predictions are fully depending upon the conditions and fluctuations , so here first I would suggest you to appear for counselling when date for it will be announced soon even also need to go according to your cutoff that would be in your favour most probably , these entire predictions are taken through the past year record analysis which made this possible to have a close Idea of your chances but depending upon variations predictions may vary.

Although DAIICT is an Institute of Eminence as declared some time back, Anna University is a much older and well established university. The alumni network is stronger. Though the DAIICT has top notch faculty , courses and placement opportunities, Anna University is a 'safer' choice.

Your percentile score is unfortunately not good enough to get a seat at anna university.

Since itbis one of the best college you percentile score should be more than 96+ to get a seat at the university.
