Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) organizes TNEA 2020 under the aegis of Anna University, Chennai. If you have to take admission in Anna University, Chennai than you have to appear in TNEA 2020 and you should secure good marks to secure your seat in Anna University.

For this you have to fill the application form which will be released in first week if May and will continues till last week of May. Than merit list will be displayed by the conducting authority on last week if June. Than there will be four rounds of counseling.

• Eligibility criteria

Candidate seeking admission through TNEA 2020 must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry from the recognized board. (For Backward classes it is 45%, for MBC, DNC & SC/ST/SCA it is 40%)

As  you wanted to get seat in the good colleges for MBA/Mtech/MArch/MCA etc to get course of your choice and you appeared for the TANCET entrance examination and you got 91.478 percentile of marks accordingly u may get seat in the good colleges or universities and u have less chances to course or branch of your choice in the university of your choice u may get but they are less chances and let us hope for the best and i think my suggestions and knowledge may be helpful to u.

see cutoff score changes year to year and it depends on various factors like number of candidates, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, your choice of stream for m.tech program , etc. see if you have scored more than 70 in tancet you have decent chances for anna university. however I suggest you to participate in counselling process and lets see whats happen.

Your percentile score i.e. 23.680 will be considered for admission into any college. But you will be unable to get into Anna University because of your low percentile score. Your score is just average. Every university releases their own cutoffs depending upon number of seats available and availability of students. Based on previous year cutoff trends , you do not stand a chances to get admission into Anna University (CEG). The basic eligibility criteria for admission is a candidate must have done B.E/B.Tech with 50% marks . For pursuing a MBA you need Bachelors degree with 50% marks .

After your boards result, you have to apply for counselling which is conducted by TNEA application in specific engineering colleges. The range between 195 to 200 is required for general category. Then you can expect College of Engineering, Guindy. The greater marks you'll have, better the course you will get.

For Thiagarajar College of Engineering, most of the time the cutoff is higher than 190. 195 marks can fetch you streams like CSE, EEE, ECE.
