    Course Overview

    The Network Security course offers an introduction to network and computer security. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to evaluate works in commercial and academic security and will have the fundamental skills in security research. 

    The Network Security online course begins with a tutorial on the basics of cryptography, cryptanalysis, and systems security.  The later chapters cover a number of monographs and seminal papers in a wide range of security contexts.

    The Network Security syllabus covers basic topics like authentication, security protocol design and analysis, security modelling, and trusted computing. Some advanced topics like key general management, programme safety, intrusion detection, DDOS detection, and mitigation are also covered later on.
