Haridwar University, Roorkee Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The University provide a secure, comfortable and healthy environment for all the residents of hostels. The well-furnished hostels are equipped with modern amenities and facilities for sports and recreations such as T.V. outdoor games, indoor games etc. Net surfing facilities are also available in a Wi-Fi enabled system.

Each Hostel is having a separate study room and group discussion also. Each hostel is having the daily newspaper facility. The hostel premises comprises of a separate dining facility in the Boys’ and Girls’ hostels. The menu of the Mess is decided by the Students’ Mess Committees. The food served is of high quality and meets the acceptable quality standards of as laid down under FSSAI and other Govt food safety regulations. Special consideration is given to provide a well-balanced, nutritional diet with varying food tastes.

Each hostel has a residential Faculty Warden, Assistant Warden, and Attendants who are being monitored by a Chief Warden of RCE to promptly address the day to day issues of the hostel residents. To ensure security and safety of the hostel inmates 24X7 security guards are on duty and CCTV cameras have been installed for active surveillance.

Medical facility and first aid kit are available 24 X 7 at Haridwar University  for the safety and concern of its students so that quick basic treatment and medical attention can be provided at the time of incidents.

The College has a well-maintained gym that is there for both girls and boys students. The gym also has professional trainers. Students can work out in the morning or evening at their convenience.

Library is the spinal column and the soul of Roorkee College of Engineering, Roorkee and carries a vigorous role in teaching, training, research and development; and provides the foremost foundation for distinct research at the college. Library is intended to help academic community to keep up-to-date with the latest advancement in their area of interest and to deliver information sustenance for research and training. Students also utilize library as a source of information in accord with their course curriculum as well as for their self-development. It is a well-planned full automated library that is equipped with latest books and journals on Technology, Management, Economic and Business related area.

Haridwar University, Roorkee boasts of superior infrastructure for sports and actively creates opportunities for students to take active part in sports competitions. In this endeavour, we conduct the Zonal Sports Fest named “The Sports Carnival” in the month of November every year. Students from various institutions actively participate in multiple events like: Chess, Table Tennis, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Cricket etc.

The University has a spacious and fully air-conditioned canteen. The canteen serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to students. The food is hygienic and affordable also. The menu of the canteen is changed as per the season cycles.
