Hey Dhruv,

IIT Indore is one of the newer ones which had 2 temporary campuses before completely shifting to it's permanent campus in Simrol, which is approximately 25 kms from Indore city, in 2015. So currently, the campus has all the necessary amenities for it's small student strength. The hostel rooms are better than most universities . Pretty sure the construction will be fully completed in 2020.

Coming to the sports facilities, the campus has 2 TT tables, basketball & volleyball court, 1 badminton court and a cricket practice net. Hope this answered your questions.

Well it is to early to say as JEE is one of the trickiest exams and you can't judge anything about the results till it is actually out. SO I would recommend that you wait for another week for the Results and decide on this. For further information as to you can get a govt. college or not refer to the JOSAA websit to check for the last year's cutoffs for various institutes.

Hi dear,

Special round is a last counselling round only held by counselling authority only if any number of seats are left to be filled. There is no fees for special rounds. You chances to get seat in Electrical Engg. with this rank in Obc category is quite less.

Hope this helps

Hi Rahul.

With a score of 130 in JEE Adv., you rank will be around 16000. With that, you won't get a seat in IIT Indore, if you're a general candidate. Any reservation may be helpfull.

You can check the cut off with the above link.

Good Luck.

Dear Nisha,

WIth AIR 180 you stand a good chance to get in IIT Indore. You do not need Maths at 10+2 level. But, since you cleared the exam you should be having the required knowledge of Mathematics. You also have an option in the NITS.

Good luck !

HI PARAG,

You will surely get some or the other lower notched IIT with not so good branch with 158 score in general category rank. Just wait for the josaa counselling to begin.

HOPe this helps you.

Best of luck.

The cut off varies branch, quota and category wise as you have not specified the complete details so you are advised to go through the below link to know the previous year cut off trend -

Good Luck!!!

Hello, Anyaan

Look JEE mains and advance is conducted every year and each of them has separate reservation and cut-off for different categories.. However, you can check the cut-off based on your category. If you consider the year 2016. For computer science and engineering, the following was the opening and closing rank based on different categories.

Gen- [24 (opening rank), 186( closing rank)], OBC- [ 33(opening rank), 140( closing rank)], SC-[23(opening rank),  47( closing rank)], ST-[12(opening rank), 46(( closing rank)]

Now if you consider the year 2017, Following was the opening and closing rank of different categories for computer science.

Gen- [3 (opening rank), 104( closing rank)], OBC- [21(opening rank), 67( closing rank)], SC-[17(opening rank),35( closing rank)], ST-[5(opening rank), 25( closing rank)]

Now Based this you can get an idea how the seats are going to be filled this year. I hope you find this information useful. Have a great future ahead.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India . It is constituted by two different examinations - JEE Main and the JEE Advanced . The exams are of the objective pattern. JEE Advanced is regarded internationally as one of the most challenging undergraduate admission tests.

In 2012, the government-run Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that earlier conducted the AIEEE, announced the JEE that replaced the AIEEE and IIT-JEE . The JEE-Main, which replaces AIEEE, is for admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and some other colleges designated as "centrally funded technical institutes" (CFTIs) The JEE-Advanced, which replaces IIT-JEE, is for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Only the students selected in JEE Mains are eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced. About 2,24,000 Top students will be selected from 2018.

There are some institutes like the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology , and the Indian Institute of Science which use the score obtained in JEE Advanced as the basis for admission. These are not participating institutes of central IIT JEE Advanced counseling of which all IITs are members. Any student who takes admission to IITs cannot appear for the JEE-Advanced exam in the next year, but the same is not the case with IISc, IISER, RGIPT and other institutes as these institutes only use JEE Advanced score for admission.
