Course Overview

Data mining is the study of algorithms. It finds patterns in large data sets. It is an interdisciplinary subject that involves machine learning, algorithms, and databases. The Data Mining program will provide a comprehensive and holistic view about this integral subject of modern industry.

Data Mining certification is an AICTE approved FDP course that will cover the fundamentals of data mining. Moreover, for candidates who want to be eligible for the certificate, there is an offline exam. They should score at least 30/75 in this exam. They should also submit all the assignments and get at least 10/25. The assignment score will be calculated based on the average marks received from the best 8 out of 12 assignments.

The final score will be the sum of the exam score and assignments. Participants who complete the above-mentioned criteria and get at least 40/100 in the final score will be awarded a certificate.

Admission Details

Data Mining by Swayam has a simple admission process that is 100% online. These are the steps:

Step One: Visit the Swayam online learning platform https://swayam.gov.in/ and tap the ‘Sign-in/Register’ button situated in the top right corner of the website.

Step Two: Create a profile on the website. If you already have a profile, login with your details.

Step Three: Search for data Mining’ in the search box provided. If the course is available in the ‘Upcoming (Enrollment Open)’ column, click on join.

Step Four: Fill the online form and pay the exam fee. The admission process is complete.

Application Details

The Data Mining program has an online form that can be filled only after filling the sign-up form. To complete the sign-up form, candidates need to provide their email address and select an unused username and password. They can also sign-up using their Google, Facebook, or Microsoft account. If they already have a profile set up, they just need to use their credentials to log in.
