Bachelor of Physical Education is a full-time Two-year undergraduate Department of Physical Education course degree and it is offered by Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Department of Physical Education is a constituent unit of Jadavpur University. It is one of the academic departments under the faculty of Arts. This Department previously as a unit of Jadavpur Vidyapith College of Education, run by NCE, Bengal, started offering B.P.Ed program from the year 1975 at the request of the Director of Public Instruction, West-Bengal when Physical Education was made a compulsory examination subject. Thereafter in 1990, Jadavpur University has taken over the Physical Education Unit of Jadavpur Vidyapith College of Education and has made a full-fledged department of Physical Education under the Faculty of Arts.
