First of all congratulation that you got chemical engineering branch in josaa 2nd round counseling.
You have also secured a good obc rank of 8801.
You can either freeze or float or slide your seat.

Now of you slide your seat then that means you have accepted the seat and you want a higher preference branch in same institute in further rounds. And if you don't get any seat in further round then your previously alloted seat will remain with you.
So, yes, you can opt for slide option.

Well, Sorry to say but you can't get float option after selecting slide option, (As written in Josaa Business rule 2020 : a candidate can change from float to slide/freeze and slide to freeze by online reporting.  Page 37) but I will suggest, wait till last round and then apply for CSAB round and arrange in your preferred manner, there are chances for you getting seat there, but no chance in josaa itself...

Last Year Csab round cutoff for MANIT bhopal, chemical engineering was 27193 for CSAB first round for Other State Quota Candidates...

Hello. The NIT Bhopal is a very well known and reputed college. Chemical branch is worth doing from here is best as it have more scope over there.

Placements are best here, internship opportunities are great. It's best , internship opportunities provided to gain professional experience and practicality. Its highest package till now is 6 LPA. So all the best.

Its not about toughness ,it basically depends upon your interest because if you are interested in something then you do it well as compare to the non interested one. If you are interested in sensor, automation part then  go for instrumentation engineering but if your are interested in metallurgy part then go for metallurgy engineering.

Talking about college then both the college have a good placement and ranking.

As you have secured 5740 CRL rank and 1830 obc rank in jee mains paper 2, then you have negligible chances of getting vnit nagpur and manit Bhopal.

Even with your obc category rank, getting manit bhopal will be difficult. Also as you belong from home state maharashtra then also by applying your home state quota, you cannot get vnit nagpur.

So, aa you can see that you have nearly no chance of getting b.arch in these two nits.
But there is a chance that you can get b.arch in nit patna by your obc category rank. Because the last year cutoff closing rank for other state obc candidates was - 3828. So, you have high chances of getting b.arch in nit patna.

But, as per the campus placement consider choosing best institute comes with benefits. NIT is a reputed institution . Therefore the quality of education or the training is going to be good in both the streams . So regardless of the institution, choosing between ECE or EEE depends entirely on your interest and skill sets. But along with it when you consider the future career prospects EEE seems to be a little limited, means to settle in a good/desired position, compared to ECE. Even in terms of college placements , you see ,CSE students are gains the most. The placement offers are mostly from CSE background and the ECE students are allowed to sit for the CSE placements more that EEE students . Only few EEE students make it to the core field. So if campus placement is your focus , go for ECE and improve your coding skills. But if you have keen interest in Electrical field and is confident and hard working , then sure go for it , you can end up well. You will have more government job opportunities.
