Hello Ratan,
Thanks for contacting Careers360.
Please note that NIT TRICHY and IIIT Hyderabad are not really comparable.
If you want to focus only on Computer Science and Academics then IIIT HYDERABAD is an excellent place because Coding and SW Engineering Subjects are taught right from the 1st Semester.

Hello Ratan,
The cutoff ranks vary from branch to branch. However the previous years closing ranks for NIT Trichy (SC- home state) for some of the top branches are given below:
Hi Devidas, the cutoff varies every year based on various factors like number of test takers, number of seats available, merit list, difficulty level of exams. A score of 30 will yield to approximately 400+ scaled score. The cutoff for previous years is around 390-430 and hence the chance would
Hello Saurabh,
NIT Trichy offers M.Tech. program in Non Destructive Testing(NDT) of 2 years. The program requires the candidates to have completed their B.Tech/B.E. from Mechanical, Metallurgy and Production or M.Sc. in Physics, Material Science or Applied Physics. The admissions are done on the basis of GATE marks through CCMT.
Hello Aspirant,
For mechanical engineering 2018 cutoff for mtech in Industrial Safety Engineering was 780 and for Thermal Power Engineering it was 868. We do not have data for mtech in material science for mechanical engineering. So please use above data and take inference as required.

The college has a functional infrastructure that supports education effectively. There is, however, room for improvement in terms of facility upgrades and overall maintenance is still required as there is no proper wifi requirements.
The hostel and mess facilities are among the best across all NITs and IITs . We have high speed WiFi in each classrooms and hostel rooms. Mess food is great compare to other top colleges. There is curfew for first year boys . For girls, it is for all year. We have an NIT Hospital for medical issues or emergency.
National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli has a well-developed and spacious infrastructure, making it one of the top National Institutes in India. The campus spreads over a large area and is well planned, with separate zones for academic buildings, hostels, sports, and faculty residences. Classrooms are equipped with modern teaching aids like projectors, and laboratories are generally well maintained and suitable for practical learning. The central library is extensive and supports both academic and research needs. Hostel facilities are adequate, providing basic amenities such as Wi-Fi and regular maintenance, though many buildings are relatively old and not very modern. Sports infrastructure is strong, with facilities like playgrounds, a gym, and an indoor stadium encouraging extracurricular activities. The institute also offers additional facilities such as a health center, shopping complex, and banking services within the campus, making it self-sufficient. However, some drawbacks include inconsistent internet connectivity in hostels, average mess food quality, and slower infrastructure upgrades due to its government nature. Overall, the infrastructure supports academic growth effectively, even if it lacks luxury or cutting-edge modern design compared to some newer institutions.
