Dear candidate, with this rank it is difficult to get into these two NIT's. But you can get into other top NIT's. They also provide good facilities and facilities for the students. Please mention me about your state from which you belong and have the domicile. Because every NIT's has state quota.

Hi,

Congratulations for your such rank. Hope you are doing great.

See, whatever you will choose, you will have to study it at least for next 4 years and you have to work on that through the rest of your life. So, I will advise you to choose according to your choice and liking on subject.

Now, if you look over other criteria, then NIT Trichy is the top NIT. But there you just get lower branch like Production. Students also take Metallurgy to be a lower branch. But due to that thought, it has been seen that now a days, there are a lot of vacancies remaining on Metallurgy in different companies. So I think it to be a great opportunity. Now, chemical, electrical and other core branches which you are getting in other NITs, are very good. Though core branches are evergreen branches, you must know that students of core branches have very poor opportunities in case of placement.

So think about all these criteria one by one. Talk to your guardians, if possible, then talk to seniors also who have studied engineering or are currently studying. And last but not the least, don't forget to think about your passion for a particular stream. Don't worry.

Hope this helps. All the best.

Srija
