It's just ranks no specific cut offs. If you are from TN you need to be within 700 ranks to make sure that everything is available for you in stream 1.

As far as stream 2 you need to score above 97% to get a core group but finally it's based on rank.

yes it is possible to get admission through jee mains and sastra university has its own procedure through stream 1 and stream 2.the university calculates like this (0.25*mains score)+(0.75*12th score)=will be sastra rank and based on this you will be given admission.

Sastra University has released it's B.Tech application form 2019. It is available in both offline and online mode. Students can fill the application form of Sastra B.Tech admission 2019 last by June 14, 2019.

Admission can be through any of these two streams:
1) consideration will be on the basis of JEE Main marks along with the 10+2 marks .
2)  only 10+2 or equivalent marks will be considered.

You don't need to give any other entrance exam.
Your admission depends on your board marks too.

Congrats for your GPA and percentile.There is a high chance for you to get CSE at SASTRA.In SASTRA the admission is based on both JEE main percentile and 12th board marks.The weightage given to JEE main is 25% and the remaining 75% will be given to your 12th percentage.The SASTRA rank will be calculated((JEE main percentile*0.25)+(12th percentage *0.75)) and based on that you will be called for counselling on merit basis.

Hello,

Stream 1 counselling will be held during the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2019. It will be based on the rank allocated on the basis of JEE Mains score and normalised intermediate marks.

Stream 2 counselling will also be held at the same time and will be based on intermediate marks only.

Further rounds of counselling will be held if there are vacant seats available and their respective dates will be displayed on their website.

In terms of education and support provided by faculty (mainly in research ) it provides good infra and more over it's better than few Nit's not all . SASTRA has just recently started earning its name as one of the top private engineering colleges in India. Compared to the NITs (which are well established and renowned worldwide). So it depends on course, and branch you are taking.
