Your rank of 5,834 is well within this range.
Participate in the counselling process and stay updated for the final seat allotment.
With a VITMEE 2025 rank of 479, you have a strong chance of securing admission to the M.Tech VLSI Design program at VIT Vellore, as seats in this specialization are typically offered to candidates with ranks under 1000.
hi ,Yes, VIT Chennai is generally considered better than VIT Bhopal for CSE due to:
More established campus with better placement records
Stronger alumni network and industry ties
Location advantage (closer to tech hubs like Chennai and Bangalore)
Better faculty and infrastructure in most cases
However, if you're getting a significantly better fee waiver or opportunity at VIT Bhopal, consider your personal priorities before deciding.
Based on your VITEEE rank of 21,431 and the marks you mentioned for Physics (74), Chemistry (81), and Mathematics (51), it seems you might not meet the typical eligibility for admission to the core branches of VIT Vellore (like Computer Science, Electronics, etc.) due to the rank being relatively higher.
However, VIT also offers other branches, and the eligibility can vary for different specializations. Since you are eligible based on the exam (VITEEE), you may still have a chance for admission in some branches, but the chances for more competitive ones like CSE or ECE may be slim.
VIT Bhopal – CSE (Cat 1): Lower fees, good for programming, but newer campus and fewer top-tier companies.
VIT Chennai – ECE (Cat 2): Better campus, more industry exposure, but higher fees and slightly lower average packages for ECE.
Verdict: If you prefer CSE and lower fees, go for VIT Bhopal. If you value campus reputation and industry exposure, choose VIT Chennai ECE.
With a rank of 33,000 in the VITEEE 2025 exam:
You can get:
VIT-AP (Amaravati) – Category 1 or 2 for most branches including CSE (except CSE specializations might need Cat 2).
VIT-Bhopal – Easily Category 1 for all branches including CSE and its specializations.
Both campuses have relatively lower cutoffs than VIT Vellore or Chennai, so 33,000 rank is considered good for AP or Bhopal campus.
No,
Unfortunately you
cannot
get admission in CS branch in VIT using your percentile in JEE Mains. You should write
VITEEE 2025
for getting admission in any of the VIT college.Your rank should be
less than 5000 in VITEEE 2025
entrance exam for claiming CS branch .
The VITEEE exam will also be less harder than JEE exam, since you have scored a good percentile in JEE you can score very good marks in VITEEE.
All the Best
Hi riya
So to qualify vit entrance examination you need 60 Percent aggregated marks in 12th physics, chemistry and biology or maths . And to qualify exam you need 55 percent to qualify it
Thanks
Manipal (Main Campus) vs VIT (Vellore)
Reputation: Manipal has better global recognition.
Placements: VIT is stronger in engineering placements.
Campus Life: Manipal is more liberal; VIT is more disciplined.
Academics: Both are good; Manipal excels in health sciences, VIT in engineering.
Choose Manipal for diversity, global exposure, and health-related courses.
Choose VIT for top engineering placements and structured academics.
The infrastructure of our college is excellent with a big campus for the students to explore. Hostel facilities and canteen is really good but the food should be more hygienically made with care. It also has well designed gyms, sports area, libraries and laboratories.
Academic buildings are good, classrooms are large to accomodate lots of students, labs are ac and well equipped. Hostel facilities are good ranging from 1-6 bed ac/non-ac rooms with wifi service. Mess food is decent with good variety. Laundry and transport services are available on campus. Sports facilities, gym, library, etc are available.
VIT Vellore’s M.Tech Biotech has awesome infrastructure. Labs got latest equipment like PCR, bioreactors, makes practicals smooth. Library huge, tons of books, fast wifi. AC classrooms with smart boards. Hostels clean, but summer water shortage. Mess food okay, sports ground big.
