Both are the best colleges for CSE branch.But according to placement opportunities you can go to VIT University, Vellore for CSE branch. Many big companies comes there for recruitment and average package is around 6 LPA.

see vit vellore has three programs available for 5 years integrated Engineering course,

Integrated M.Tech. (Software Engineering)(5 Years)

Integrated M.Tech. CSE in collaboration with Virtusa (5 Years)

Integrated M.Tech. CSE with specialization in Data Science (5 Years)

however this year for the first time , viteee has did not

If you got 5000 rank in VIT integrated baced on the previous cutoff ,I think u can get CSE(computer science Engineering) or you can get IT(In formation Technology) .This 2 branchs are having best jobs for your future.

If you have option between VIT Vellore and SRM , go for VIT anytime. It has better infrastructure,teaching staff and so many more opportunity. Many super dream company visit VIT for placement.The highest package for M.Tech goes upto 15-16 lakh.Also the environment is reall good there .
